Description
Performance Carbon Hood. This aerodynamic hood improves engine heat extraction, enhancing overall vehicle performance and engine cooling. It is an excellent choice for enthusiasts wanting to upgrade both the appearance and function of their Tacoma.
Construction and Appearance. Made with high-quality 3K 2X2 twill weave carbon fiber fabric, this hood provides superior strength and stiffness due to an optimal carbon/resin ratio. A fiberglass skeleton bonded to the underside adds additional structural support and durability. The hood features a gloss finish with a consistent carbon fiber weave pattern, making it show-ready and eliminating the need for painting.
Installation. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper fit and finish. This hood mounts using OEM hardware. Although no painting is necessary due to the gloss finish, sanding and primer preparation may be required only if painting is desired. For correct installation and long-term durability, hood pins and a heat shield are required. Note that this hood is not compatible with factory gas struts or shocks and will require aftermarket support to prevent damage because of the reduced weight compared to stock components.
