Description
Specs. This 94 foot long, 3/8 inch thick synthetic winch rope made by Rugged Ridge is crafted from 12 strands of Dyneema SK-75 fiber and has a forged latched hook that has been powder coated to prevent corrosion. Dyneema fiber is fungal resistant, and very resistant against chemicals including; jet fuel, hydraulic fluid, oil, solvents, de-icing fluid, and many more.
Construction. One of the number one benefits to synthetic winch rope is that it is much safer than steel cables. When winching with a steel cable, it is imperative to use a winch line dampener to prevent injury should the cable snap. What makes steel cables dangerous in the event of a snap is that they store energy when pulled that is released when it fails, however synthetic rope does not, this prevents severe injuries caused by a cable snap which is the main reason. This winch rope comes with a protective sleeve to prevent overheating on the winch brake drum.
Application. Designed to fit all 1966-2026 Jeep CJ and Wrangler models.
