It is normal for the fabric to contract and wrinkle when stored in the shipping the fabric will relax and the wrinkles will disappear.

Installing the New Summer Top.

Step (1) : Insert windshield header into top as shown. This top will work with most aftermarket Headers and should not effect fitment.

Step (2) : Secure header to windshield. Follow the manufactures instructions for correct fitment.

Step (3) : Place summer top over center roll bar (speaker bar) and loop center summer top clips around the back side off bar as shown. Push clips up into center bar holes and into steel subframe. Do Not Tighten at this time. Pull straps only to keep top in place. For 2doors pull and attach side straps around roll bar.

Step (4) : For 4 door models wrap rear summer tops straps over the top of rear cross member and loop through plastic clips as shown. Pull snug, Do Not Tighten.

Step (5) : Attach the rear side strap. Pull Snug Do Not Tighten at this time. All straps are to be tightened at the end of installation. This will allow the top be pulled flat and snug to vehicle body

Step (6) : Attach side Velcro straps over and around roll bar and plastic door brackets as shown. Note: Straps will need to run between plastic side rail on summer top and plastic door brackets as shown. If top is used without plastic door brackets than Velcro straps are to be looped around side roll bars and secured.

Step (7) : With all straps secured, fold plastic side rails under plastic door brackets and lock into place. Repeat this step for the rear side rails on 4DR JK's.

Step (8) : With the left and right side Velcro straps secured and plastic side rails secured proceed to pull the center cross bar straps, rear side straps, and side straps tight.

Step (9) : Your Rugged Ridge Summer Top has two front mesh pockets designed for small item storage. It is important to keep the zipper closed at all times when items are stored. Heavy objects SHOULD NOT BE STORED in these pockets.

NOTE: These instructions are a general guide for installation on both 2DR and 4DR JK Wranglers. There may be some slight variations of the steps listed for installation on 2DR Wranglers. This will include the side straps for the Summer Brief Tops.

Step (10) : When summer tops are installed without side plastic door brackets there may be slight wrinkles in the tops. This is caused by the different shape of the roll bar in relation to the front windshield and summer top header. This is normal.
