Lift Concerns. If you're pushing the limits of your JK's lift off road and have concerns with your rear springs becoming unseated and "popping" out, than you'll need to invest in Rugged Ridge's Rear Coil Spring Retainer Set. While your front springs make use of bump stops to guide them back to their seats, your rear springs are wide open and can easily fall out, posing the possibility for unwanted damages if your axle drops too far.

Simple Solution. The Rugged Ridge Rear Coil Spring Retainer Set includes everything you need to ensure your after market springs are held in place to reduce the risks of off road adventures and damage. Each retainer features an attractive black finish to prevent corrosion and rust due to the elements.

Application. The Rugged Ridge Rear Coil Spring Retainer Set is designed for use on after market coil springs found on 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and JK Unlimited models.

      Looks good and works

Like the looks of the black retaining washer compared to the silver. Install is a pain but a little tape to hole the nut on the wrench helps.

      Security

Yes. It is a good idear to tape the nut onto the wrench when inserting it underneath the base plate. I can see how these retainer discs will assist the C-Spring stay in there safe place while suspension is underway. And please will everyone clean the underneath of their rigs once in awhile you can even spray paint them black to new. Looks nice when on the road. Oohyah. Semper Fi If this helps just one jeeper. Then I've completed the mission. LoL.

      Works as advertised

Very inexpensive way to keep your coils in place. They can be installed in about 15 minutes. Highly recommend

      Easy install

READ! The nut and washer are installed underneath the spring perch, which is a small tight fit. Use scotch tape to tape the nut and washer to the tool and poke a hole where the bolt will be threaded in. This way you can get the tool, nut, and washer all located under the perch, thread the bolt in and then remove the tool (break the tape obviously). Otherwise you may spend all day trying to get the retainers installed, this way it only took about 15 minutes.

To make sure that their are in place.

I just buy them in case of extreme articulations on the rear end the coil springs don't pop out and have a bad trip. Easy to install about 15 min.
