      Description

      Dual Functionality Mount. The Rugged Radios Universal NMO or Magnetic Antenna Mount provides reliable antenna mounting options for various vehicles and uses. It features a large magnetic base for quick, tool-free installation on metal surfaces or can be converted into a standard NMO mount for permanent or custom attachments. This versatility ensures dependable antenna placement in offroad and everyday driving environments.

      Construction and Appearance. The mount is made from nickel plated brass for durability and includes a gold contact pin to enhance signal quality. It comes with a high-quality 13-foot RG-58 coaxial cable that has a tinned copper braid and stranded tinned copper center conductor, all attached to a 3-1/4 inch ABS plastic base. This combination offers rugged performance, weather resistance, and a professional finish.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward, with no complex tools required for magnetic mounting. Using the NMO mount option may require moderate skill and possibly drilling to secure the mount properly. The included crimped NMO connector provides a secure, weathertight connection crucial for long-term reliability.
