I have a 2007 wrangler jku. With the 1.75 inch lift run 33' tires. Or should a put a leveling kit on with '33 in tires?

  • With the "Rough Country 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks" you will be able to fit 33 inch tires, with the leveling kit you can fit 33's as well. The main difference between the two kits would be the rake on the Jeep, with the leveling kit the Jeep would be more level than it would be with a 1.75 inch lift kit. Both kits will work for the tires you are trying to fit on your Jeep.

Will this kit level my 2007 Jeep JKU Sahara? In the description it does say that it will level the front and rear of the Jeep, but one of the other Q A's asks about what is needed to make this a leveling kit. So i just want to be certain of whether or not this kit will actually level my jeep. Thanks

  • Yes, Installing this Rough Country spacer lift kit levels the front and the rear of your jeep.

Can i fit these 33" tires without rubbing?

  • You can fit the height of a 33" tire with the Rough Country 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks. It depends on the width of the tire and with a 33" tire anything wider than 10" we recommend using a wheel spacer of 1.5" to clear any steering and suspension components. Aftermarket wheels will normally allow the tires to clear since they have the proper backspacing of 4.7" or less.

Can this 1.75 lift be combined with a leveling kit as well?

  • The Rough Country 1.75 in. Spacer Lift could only be combined with a spring leveling kit as this already includes spacers. Combining this with a leveling kit would require shocks of an appropriate length for the total overall lift.

anything else needed for this install like brake line extension brackets, track bar relocating bracket, longer endlinks, bump stops?

  • The Rough Country 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks (07-17 Wrangler JK) will not require any brake line extension brackets, track bar relocating bracket, longer end links or bump stops.

Great lift kit on a budget

I’m a technician so I was able to install myself. Due to having a lift and all my tools at my disposal, the install was straight forward. Only a few issues... 1) one of the rear shock mounts were not the proper size for the factory bolts to go through. I’d expect this from a brandless shock but this is unacceptable. I just simply had to take my angle grinder and widen the mount holes until the bolts could go through. 2) Once the kit is installed, the brake lines/ parking brake cables are stretched beyond what it should due to the extra travel of the lift kit. Line relocation is needed even though there’s a common perception that any lift kit under 2.5” doesn’t need brake line relocation. This only happens when the Jeep is on a lift and completely off the ground; otherwise it’s ok. Beyond that this is a great starter lift kit and makes my Jeep look great with the new wheels and 33” tires I got on it now.

    Lift

The kit was simple to install but instructions are very vague. Then one of the shocks had a piece of burred metal that had to be ground off. Also the bracket for one of the front shocks was not cut out enough for the shock to slide in. I had to grind this out also. This is still a great lift just a few minor hiccups that’s aggravating.

    Nice kit

Pretty simple and straightforward install and raised my Wrangler 2". Only thing to watch is that when the suspension is hanging after you change shocks and add spacers the brake lines are stretched and I had some concern they could break. I bent the steel tube portion mounted to the frame so the hoses had a little more play. Otherwise everything was fine. Ride seems comparable to stock.

    Amazing

Transformed the look of my jeep. Just make sure that you use loctite on all of the bolts and nuts to make sure nothing comes loose.

    Great addition

Instructions sub par. Lots of steps missed if your trying to do without a lift in your garage or driveway. Disconnect brake lines front and back from frame was required for my 13 Moab. I'd loosen emergency brake line as well in rear to get axle to lower enough. Product was excellent quality and only slight change in ride. Pot holes or railroad tracks you will feel more because springs are compressed over stock ride. Turning your sitting higher so you have more sway then stock. Overall great add but lack of good instructions cost me an hour in install time having to rejack up because brake lines limited ability to lower and pull springs.

    Rough Country 1.75 lift

Easy installation well as long as the existing shocks aren't a problem. Very impressed with the overall appearance. Rides bs handles like factory shocks were still on. Now I am ready for my 35" tires.

Great small lift if you don't need much.

This product is exactly as advertised. The lift in the end was very close to 2 inches, I expect it will settle to the 1.75 inches. The install directions are not very good. There are steps that you MUST do to prevent damage that Rough Country didn't put in the process. Based on Rough Countrys directions this install should only take a couple hours. With the added steps it will take as long as doing a full 2.5 inch budget boost.

I would rate this product a 10 for light duty off road use and for the ride height for just a little more clearance for 33's
