These RedRock 4x4 Front Rollbar Paracord Grab Handles with D-Rings in Black and Red are for those of you that have a 2007 and up JK and are looking for a grab handle to make it easier for you and your passengers to get in and out of your stock or lifted JK, but want something that gives you a little bit more of a rugged look than the more refined grab handles that you can get from some of the other companies out there.
Now, your traditional grab handle is going to velcroed or buckled around that rollbar. It's going to give you a padded, possibly neoprene, maybe rubber handle to grab onto, and they are going to be fairly polished. This is going to give you much more of that rugged, off-road look that just goes with a well-built Jeep, it's going to give you more of that Safari styling, and it's also going to be very, very useful, again, for helping you get in and out of your Jeep.
Now, paracord just goes with the Jeep-ing culture. Paracord is a product that is very, very useful. You can do a lot of different things with it. You can make a lot of different items out of it. And if you are in a pinch and you need some paracord, you could always take the D-rings off of this, make a cut, unwind this, and use this as a very strong lashing or a very strong rope if you needed to, which is one of the benefits to having this grab handle over one of the other versions that are available on the market. Now, as far as a grab handle goes, this is going to be priced right around the same range as a lot of the other ones out there. So if you like the look and the utility of this, this is going to be a very fairly-priced option.
Paracord comes in a variety of different thicknesses and strengths. This is going to be 550-pound test paracord, and with the way that this is woven and wrapped, it is going to be very, very strong. So you're certainly not going to have to worry about this bending or breaking as you're using it as a handle to get in and out of the Jeep. And like I said before, if you get in a pinch and you have to unwind this and use this in an emergency situation, you're going to have a ton of strength and usability as far as that goes as well.
This does come with a couple of small D-rings. That's going to be how it's held together, how it's held around your sport cage. But you can also use those D-rings, again, in a pinch if you needed to. They're not gonna be load-bearing, and you're not gonna be doing any sort of recovery with them. But if you need to strap something down, you can go ahead and use those, again, if you were to get yourself into a pinch. These are going to be the Black and Red version of these. We do have them in a couple different colors as well, so you can get whichever one goes with your Jeep and with your interior.
As far as this install goes, it's going to be a very simple one-out-of-three-wrench installation. These aren't going to take you any more than 15 minutes to get attached to your Jeep, and you're not going to need any tools at all to get the job done. All you'll need to do is disconnect the two D-rings that are on each of the handles, wrap the small piece of woven paracord around your sport cage, then reattach the D-ring with the handle that goes in-between those two other loops. Very, very simple process. As I mentioned before, some of the other grab handles on the market will come with Velcro. That's also very easy, so no matter what you're installing, as long as you're not bolting on one of the metal grab handles, this is going to be a very straightforward installation.
As far as the price goes, this is going to be right around $40 for a pair of these, and that is really the going rate for a decent set of paracord grab handles. Now, some of the other types of grab handles out there, for instance, the ones with the neoprene on them that are heavily padded, they might come in at a little bit more money because there is a little bit more material there. But as far as your more simplistic or your paracord grab handles, this is the going rate. I think these are a high-quality grab handle, and I do think they're worth the cost.
So if you're looking for a paracord grab handle for your JK, I would definitely recommend taking a look at these ones from RedRock 4x4, and you can find them right here at extremeterrain.com.
