Hey guys, it's Sara with extremeterrain.com. And today we have a review and install of the RedRock 4x4 Solid Steel Drop Side Step Bars, fitting your '18 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL 4-door models. These are perfect for the JL owner looking to add a step to their Jeep and wants a budget-friendly option with a drop step design. These side step bars provide secure access to your Jeep especially if it's lifted or leveled and doubles as a bit of added side protection against door dings. These steps feature a heavy duty tubular steel construction with a textured black powder coat finish and also include drop steps with a cut out star design. So as far as price goes, these steps come in at around $200 which is on the lower end price wise when compared to other options. And these are the most budget-friendly drop steps that you can get for your Jeep.I'm giving this install a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. They feature a direct bolt-up install that can be done within two hours. So with that said, let's jump into our install. For this install, you will need a ratchet or an impact gun and 12 and 10-millimeter sockets. All right, so since the brackets are integrated into our bar here, the first step in our install is to line it up on our Jeep. All right, so grab these bolts with a button head and slide them into these brackets here. They are squared off on the end so they should hold themselves in there to be able to tighten them down. Then the next step is we're gonna raise our bar and line it up. Go ahead and just start the hardware on there just to make sure it does not fall off. Grab your larger bolt. This one threads straight into the body. This one might be kind of hard for you guys to see based on where the bracket is, but there should be a slot in the middle of this bracket and it should line up to a threaded hole in the body.Grab a 10-millimeter socket, if you can find one, and go ahead and tighten these nuts down. And grab a 12-millimeter socket and tighten down the bolt going into your body. Repeat that process on the other mounting point. Go ahead and grab your 12-millimeter socket and tighten it down. Grab your 10-millimeter socket and tighten down both of these bolts on the side. All right. So that is gonna do it for the review and install these drop steps. And remember, for all things Jeep, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
