These RedRock 4x4 smoked rain guards are for those of you that have a four-door 2007 to 2018 JK that are looking for a piece that's going to one, change up the look of your Jeep, but then two, allow you to keep the windows cracked for some fresh air and ventilation even when it's raining. This is going to be a very easy one out of three wrenches for the installation. These just stick on to the doors of your Jeep. So, other than some cleaning, very, very easy to do and I'm gonna to show you how to do it in just a second. So, like I mentioned, there are really two reasons that somebody is going to wanna purchase a set of these. One is because it does change up the look of the Jeep a little bit, and then two is the additional functionality of being able to leave the windows cracked and not end up with rain inside the Jeep. So, whichever one of those two reasons you're looking at for purchasing a set of these, these are going to accomplish all of those goals for you. These are in the smoked color so they do a pretty nice job of matching some of the black plastic accents that are on the Jeep here. They don't really stand out too much, but they do give the Jeep a little bit of a different look by sort of extending the window and the windows in the up position a little bit higher on the door, it does change up the look from the profile view. These are going to be a nice durable piece, you're not going to have to worry about them breaking down in the UV, fading, peeling, chipping, any of that stuff. They're gonna continue to look good, look like the day that you installed them because they are a high-quality piece. The other benefit to these is because they're from RedRock 4x4, they're gonna be a little bit less expensive than some of the other choices out there. They're gonna run you right around that $80 mark. And again, that's for the four-door so you're looking at the front and the rear pieces which I do think is a pretty good deal. So, like I said before, very, very easy install here. Let me show you how to do it.This is a very simple one out of three wrench peel and stick installation. The only important thing you need to remember is to make sure that the surface area that your a rain guard is going to be attached to is nice and clean before you get started. So, I'm going to use a microfiber to clean everything off. You could also use some sort of alcohol-based spray, a Windex or some other type of cleaner to ensure that there is no grease or oil on there. You just wanna make sure that surface is really, really clean that way you get really good adhesion with that 3M backing. So, we'll go ahead and give this a quick wipe. Then we can grab our first rain guard and get started. So, first, we'll grab a rain guard and we'll see where it's gonna sit here just to give us a good idea. You pretty much want the top of the rain guard aligned with the top of the window and up front, whatever spacing you choose is gonna be fine, but you wanna have a good idea of where this is gonna go before you peel off that 3M backing because once you stick it on there, it's not gonna wanna come back off very easily. So, it's roughly where we want it. If you wanna get really specific about things, you could take some measurements, you could use some blue painter's tape to mark your edges here, we're just gonna do this by eye. So, now we know where it's going to go, we can just peel the red backing off of the adhesive here, couple of different strips going around the corner and then one long one here. Your rain guard held back up where we wanted it aligned with the top, align left and right. Right there is gonna be good for us. And then just give it a little bit of a push all the way around. That's gonna be enough to seat it in place and that's it. Now, we'll move on to the back door. The process for the back door is exactly the same. We already wiped this off, it's nice and clean and free of any oil or grease. We're gonna align it with the top of the door here and pretty much center it over top of the window right about there, looks like it's gonna be good for us. So, peel the backing off of the adhesive. And then get it stuck on there. That's it for the installation. You can then repeat the exact same thing on the other side and you're done. So, if you're looking for a set of rain guards for your JK to change up the look of the Jeep and allow you to keep those windows open without rain coming in, I would recommend this option from RedRock 4x4 and you can find it right here at extremeterrain.com.
