Merideth: Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the 6.5-inch Redrock Off-road Black Antenna fitting all-year wranglers. Now, little mods can really make a difference when it comes to the look of your Jeep, and that's exactly what you can expect out of this antenna. This will be significantly shorter than your stock antenna with a black weather-resistant rubber coating to make sure it stands up to the elements, and, of course, keeps a low-profile design. Now, that will make it good for the Jeep owners who want an antenna that's going to stay out of the way when you're off-road, and if it even does get hit with a branch, it's just going to flex and bounce right back just because of the flexible rubber construction. This will also be a lot easier on the eye than the long silver stock antenna, giving you a very sporty look without compromising reception quality around major cities and towns. Now, I would like to mention, though, if you do live in a more rural area, with a short antenna like this, you most likely will have a little bit lower reception quality just considering the size, and that's for all antennas. However, if you don't use your AM, FM radio that often, it really shouldn't interfere with your everyday living. If you're really just looking for a sporty look and to get rid of that factory antenna, this is gonna be a great choice. Now, since this is a pretty small mod, this is gonna stick right around the $30 mark, making it a no-brainer when it comes to adding small touches to the Jeep that really make a difference. Now, when comparing this to other options in the category, this will have a very simplistic design, considering the standard rubber construction, and will also be one of the smallest in the category if you're really going for that minimal look, or maybe designed a little bit differently resembling a 50 cal bullet or having an aluminum construction over this rubber one. Now, some other choices may even have different finishes. But I personally think if you're looking to get rid of the ugly factory antenna with one that's small, sporty, and sleek, then this is going to be it. Now, when it comes to install, this will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you roughly five minutes to get the job done, and you'll only need an adjustable wrench to do it. Now, speaking of the install, one of our customers has installed this on their Wrangler and is gonna walk you through that process step by step. Let's go ahead and get into the install.Man: For today's install, we'll be using a crescent wrench, that should be all the tools we need. It's a pretty simple install. Okay, now we use a crescent wrench to take off the old antenna. Unscrew it the rest of the way. Then, next, what you're gonna do is you're going to try to match the right adapter to the right antenna. Obviously, many different sizes here. A lot of these are way too small for what we have, for our Jeep. This one seems to fit perfectly. We don't need to use any of these other pieces. This will screw right in the bottom of the antenna. Unlike before, you really don't need a tool to put this back on. Just take it, screw it on in, finger tight. Antenna is no longer in the way, a lot sportier.Merideth: So that is going to wrap it up for my review and the install of the 6.5-inch Redrock Off-road Black Antenna fitting all-year wranglers.
