Now, this fuel door will add a custom feel to your Jeep over the plain Jane factory trim, giving more of an off-road appeal, especially with the fine black finish here. This will also give you some peace of mind for your tank knowing that you're able to lock it and keep it safe, making it a great pick if you're looking for the best of both worlds out of a fuel door.Now, this will feature a secure design with a lock integrated into the fuel door and two keys in the kit to make sure that your fuel tank is protected at all times. This will also have a sporty molded design with body lines on the front of the fuel door and a small finger cutout on the side to easily open it. Now, this is also going to feature a spring-loaded design so once the door is open, it's going to stay there while you fill your tank and it's only going to close when you push it down. Not to mention, this is going to replace the entire trim, not only just add the fuel door. And I really like that because you're upgrading the entire system and you can rest assured that you don't have to do any modification to your current trim.Now, this will be durable, made of an aluminum construction as far as the fuel door is concerned, and it's also gonna come with a nice fine texture black powder coat finish on top to prevent any corrosion on the aluminum, but it's really gonna add that tough look and I like the fact that it's a fine texture black powder coat finish because that's gonna add a premium appearance to the fuel door. And the base of the housing here is also going to be made of an ABS plastic material, which is lightweight, it's durable and it's very resilient, so you can ensure that this is gonna hold up for a long period of time. I also like the fact that it does come with a rubber seal for the fuel neck, making sure that this is an entire kit. Now again, this is not gonna require any modification, making the install very straightforwardAs a kit, this will come in at about $75, which is pretty average for a fuel door. Now, when comparing it to other choices on the page, again, this is going to offer that security and some unique sporty styling compared to others that may not include the lock or will have more of a simplistic design. You can get behind your plastic here, pop it off and slide it off and it pretty much comes off just like that. We're gonna install our aluminum cover here, this locking. What I'm gonna do is inside here, there's a little hole, as you can see. I'm just gonna push our tab...sorry, back in there. So, that holds our gas cap in place. Then we'll take our new gas cap and retainer here, push it down over top, line the holes up, push it in place, and that'll wrap up this install.
