The RaceQuip 6-Inch Tall Fire Retardant Shifter Boot with Mounted Base Plate, Black, is designed to create a robust fire barrier between the transmission tunnel shifter opening and the vehicle driver. It effectively blocks flames and heat in the event of a fire, enhancing driver safety during motorsport or performance driving events.

      Construction and Appearance. This shifter boot is constructed with dual layers of Banox FR3 fire-resistant material, combining durability with high heat resistance. The mounting base is a sturdy pre-drilled aluminum frame measuring 7.5 by 5.5 inches, finished in black, featuring snaps that securely hold the boot while allowing easy removal when necessary.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with the pre-drilled aluminum frame facilitating easy mounting, requiring minimal modification or drilling. The boot’s Velcro top closure and snap attachments simplify setup and removal for service access.

      Application. Fits universal applications; some adaptation may be required to accommodate specific vehicle configurations.
