What is the back spacing requirements for after market wheels? I have wheels with 4.75" back spacing. I need a kit that will work with the wheels and tires I already have. Thank you.

    StephenB

    • This Pro Comp 2.5 in. Lift Kit w/ Shocks will work with 16" thru 20" wheels up to 10" wide rims with 3.75" to 5" of backspacing.

Can I run a factory rim with this lift without spacers?

    MattA

    • With this kit: Pro Comp 2.5 in. Lift Kit w/ Shocks (07-17 Wrangler JK) you can run your factory wheels and tires. You would not need wheel spacers unless you are planning to run a bigger tires like a 33-35 inch tires on your stock wheels. If that is the case, then you will need wheel spacers to accommodate the larger tires.

why doesn't it have sway bar links?

    RonaldT

    • Pro Comp chose not to include new sway bar links with this kit, instead it includes front sway bar drop brackets with the OE front sway bar links and reuse the OE rear sway bar links.

Pro Comp 2.5 lift kit with es9000

I wanted a mild lift kit. I am about 80 on roads. So, I wanted something manageable. I am very pleased with this lift kit. Especially with the price. The es9000 shocks are a bit stiff in driving and I will be upgraded them down the road. But, overall, I'm happy.

      Looks great!

I managed to put this on pretty easily with the help of my father-in-law. The directions were easy and clear to follow. Prior to receiving the lift I did do a google search about its installation and there was a guy that did a step-by-step with several photos. His was on an older JK so it was slightly different, actually harder for him. It made my jeep stand tall for sure. Paired it with a 1" body lift from M.O.R.E. And it looks great. I did choose the option for upgraded shocks though. I read that the cheaper ones were rough.

      ProComp makes a great deal

The installation on this kit was relatively easy. The hardest part was re-aligning the tie rods. It was missing the hardware for the right rear bumpstop and I am too anxious to wait for the supplier to fix the problem. A trip to Ace Hardware fixed the issue. I upgraded to the MX6 shocks which feel great and all in all, this was a great kit for the money. Not too much off road time because of the trail conditions (winter time) but what i have done, the performance was excellent.
