        4 2016 Wrangler - Kyle

        Versatile, Unique, and Functional

This mount is very unique, as most people mount their CB antenna on their tire carrier. If you're like me, you upgraded your spare tire hinge and carrier and then your tailgate mount was incompatible... This is a quick and easy fix for this problem. The mount is secured right to the fender bolt with an existing bolt, and there are options to drill more holes to secure it into the fender (NOT REQUIRED) It grounds really well, as I thought the paint from my car would stop the ground current, it does not and works really well. I am using a medium-sized spring and my antenna (firestik 3') tends to swing a bit going over 40 miles an hour, and if you upgrade your spring size this shouldn't be a problem. If anything a little sway to your antenna makes it look badass!

        4 2013 Rubicon - DustinW

        Works well, room to improve

The mount straight up does it’s job and does it well. I would buy it again and would recommend it. The ONLY problem I have is the mounting of metal on paint. If it had some sort of foam pad or backing that would be great. The antenna sways a bit and has slowly worked the bracket into my paint. In retrospect I should have found some sort or backing to put between them. I’d love to see a version with some rubber or foam built into the bracket or sold with it and double sided tape. Besides that, the bracket is amazing and I wouldn’t think twice about it. A bolt can be backed out and used to secure the mount, no drilling required. If you want it really secure a second screw would need to be drilled to secure it completely. I’m only using one bolt and it hasn’t budged but I have not hit trails yet with it.

        Jeep antenna mount

I was looking for a good ground mount for my ham radio antenna in my Wrangler and this mount is working much better than the glass mount that I had, better reception and transmitting signal too.

        4 2018 Wrangler - Thom

Pro Comm CB Antenna Fender Mount on a 2018 JL

The mount was not long enough to use an existing bolt like the picture shows in the add. That must have been a design change in the JL. I was able to mount it using four self-driving sheet metal screws. The mount is very stable and just what the doctor ordered.

        5 2015 Rubicon - GordonS

Just what I was looking for...

I mounted my CB antenna by my spare tire in back and didn't want to mount my Ham radio antenna near it (interference). This was the perfect mount for my needs. It installed incredibly easily and fit perfectly. It hasn't rattled lose, etc.

        4 2017 Wrangler - CraigG

        Nice accessory

Good fit, well made. Good price. When mounting make sure you mount the unit in a heavy metal area. so it does not move when finished. Light metal mounting allows unti to move when Jeep in in motion.

        5 2009 Wrangler - GaryM

        Did the trick!

Fits right on the fender/hood seam. Cable was easily routed into the cab. Good easy solution if your not looking for a long cable run.

        Cb antenna install

Install was very fast and easy. It took longer to open the hood than to put on the bracket.

      5 Top Rated Questions

Are you sure this fits the 2018 JL? I have one of these mounts and while it does fit my JK, it does not fit my JL. Do you have a way to make it work, or is there a different part number for the JL?

      • The Pro Comm CB Antenna Fender Mount will not fit JL models, we will have the site updated to reflect this.

Any assistance on how to loosen the bolt that secures the mount to the Jeep? All the bolt does is spin. I assume there is a nut on the underneath side, but not sure how to access that.

      • If the OEM bolt is spinning, the threads may be damaged, or the section it threads into may be damaged. Removing the inner fender may allow you to see underneath. If you are unable to access the underside a shop may be needed to extract the bolt.

Which antenna cable is needed for this mount?

Does this mount require you to scrape paint off of the fender on the inside of the hood in order to make a solid ground point? Or will the metal from the bracket get through my paint to the metal of my vehicle?

      • No, you do not need to scrape paint off the fender to install this mount, and if done correctly and carefully, you should not scrape any paint with this installation.

With this mount is there any body drilling that needs to be done?

      • There will be no drilling required for installation of the item. It uses a preexisting bolt location.

Can I mount this on either side of Wrangler Jk? I'm also seeking a mount close to the front of the hood, will this work mounted further towards the front of the hood? 1 answer
Hi, I have two MORyde side mount trays (J104170-A), one for each side of the vehicle. Will this work while I have both installed? It looks like it uses the same fender bolt as the side mount trays, so I'm wondering if it will work at the same time (or if it can be mounted on a more forward fender bolt?) Thanks! 1 answer
