      Description

      Battery Heat Shield Protection. The PPE Top Post Battery Heat Shield; Black is designed to protect batteries from excessive heat, extending battery life and maintaining performance. This heat shield wraps around the top terminal battery, providing vital insulation and heat reflection to prevent heat damage during operation.

      Construction and Appearance. This heat shield features a non-conductive, heat-reflective outer layer combined with a padded, insulated liner that surrounds the battery. It incorporates heavy-duty stitching and wide hook-and-loop fastening panels for secure installation. The exterior has a sleek black finish, delivering both function and a clean appearance within the engine bay.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling, using the wide hook-and-loop panels to secure the cover snugly around the battery. This design facilitates easy removal and reinstallation as needed.

      Warranty. This product includes a one-year limited warranty.

      Application. This heat shield fits most top terminal batteries, specifically group sizes 34, 40R, 41, 47, 48, 50, 53, 58, 59, 78, 90, 91, and 98R with circumference between 33” and 38.25”. It is designed primarily for 2007.5-2023 GM Duramax LMM/LML/L5P models and may require some adaptation for use with other vehicles.
