INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Remove the half door from the vehicle, if needed. Use a 3/8 wrench and Phillips screwdriver to remove the latch mechanism.

Use a utility knife to remove the cloth material from the frame.

2. Use a sander, grinder or sandpaper to remove paint from the steel door frame in each spot where the Door Skin will be welded to it.

3. Clamp the Door Skin to the frame and weld the skin to the frame in several spots. The quantity and placement of welds is left up to you, but we recommend several stitch welds along each side of the perimeter, plus a few along the center frame rods to prevent oil-canning and rattling. For the welds along the perimeter, put the welds to the inside of the frame rod.

4. Paint the assembled door, including the Door Skin, frame and welds. You may also choose to send it to your local powdercoater. If painting at home, thoroughly clean the surface of the Door Skin, roughen it slightly with a sander, and apply a quality self-etching primer followed by your choice of color.

5. Re-install the latch mechanism, and install the assembled door onto the Jeep.

Congratulations, you have completed the installation of your Poison Spyder Door Skins!
