      Description

      Electronic Ignition Upgrade. The PerTronix Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit replaces mechanical breaker points with a reliable electronic system that enhances ignition performance. Designed to fit into the original distributor, it provides improved timing accuracy and a hotter spark for increased horsepower and fuel economy. This kit simplifies ignition maintenance by eliminating wear-prone moving parts.

      Construction and Appearance. The module utilizes rotating cobalt magnets coupled with a Hall Effect integrated circuit housed in an epoxy-molded casing. This robust construction makes it resistant to dirt, oil, grease, and moisture, ensuring durability under harsh engine conditions. The design maintains the original distributor�s stock appearance for a clean, professional look.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling or major modifications. The kit bolts directly into place of the traditional points assembly, allowing for a quick and easy upgrade without compromising the original distributor setup.

      Warranty. This product includes a 30-month warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.

      Application. Specifically fit for the 1977-1981 Jeep CJ7 equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine and negative 12-volt polarity ignition system using a small cap Motorcraft distributor.
