      Description

      Mid-Length Clippster Headers. The 1-5/8-inch Clippster Mid-Length Headers with Hi-Temp Black coating are designed as direct replacement headers that bolt to factory headpipes on various AMC and Jeep vehicles. These shorty-style headers improve exhaust flow and offer better clearance for front clip suspensions on street rods, muscle cars, and trucks, helping to reduce interference with steering and suspension components.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from durable 16-gauge steel tubing, these headers feature 1 5/8-inch diameter primary tubes and 3 1/2-inch diameter collector ports shaped to match factory ports for a direct fit. They are finished with a hi-temp black coating that provides corrosion and heat resistance with a satin sheen, offering a more attractive and longer-lasting appearance than standard header finishes.

      Installation. These headers bolt directly to the factory headpipes. Some minor modification to stock headpipes may be necessary in certain applications to ensure proper fitment.

      Application. Specifically engineered for AMC and Jeep vehicles, including 1971 to 1981 Jeep CJ5, CJ6, and CJ7 models equipped with 304 CID V8 engines, ensuring broad compatibility and precise fitment.
