    Review & Installation Video

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com and this is my install and review of the Rugged Ridge AT Fender Liner Kit with Hardware, fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs that have the Rugged Ridge AT Fender Flare Kit installed. Today, we're going to talk about the construction, the features, and a little bit about the pricing of these fender liners. This inner fender liner kit is for those of you that are running the Rugged Ridge AT fender flares and want to have some inner fender liners. Those flares can be purchased with these as part of the kit, but you can also purchase them separately. So, if you've already purchased those flares and you have them installed, but you want add an inner fender liner to keep some of the junk, mud, and debris out of your engine bay, or just for that cleaner look, this is the best way to go. These are designed to specifically work with that fender flare kit, and they'll bolt right up. These inner fender liners are made of a thermal plastic material that is UV-treated and designed to be flexible without breaking. They're completely bolt-in when you're installing them with the Rugged Ridge AT fender flare kit, so you won't need to drill any holes or do any modifications. It is possible to modify your factory inner fender liners to make them work with just about any fender flare kit out there, but these will work right out of the box without any modification or any cutting. The easiest way to get these installed on your Jeep is to install them while you're installing your fender flares themselves. If you already have the fender flares on your Jeep, you will have to partially uninstall them to get this inner fender flare kit installed. There are a couple of bolts that you'll have to remove along the top inner edge of the fender flare, then you'll be able to slide the inner fender liner in place. And using the hardware that you have from the fender flare kit and the hardware that's included with these inner fender liners, you'll be able to get everything bolted up. The whole installation process should probably take you around two hours, and you won't need any specialty tools, just a good socket set. If you're somebody who likes to do a little bit of DIY work and do some trimming and really make things work that aren't designed to work, you can always take your set of factory inner fenders, modify them to work with the Rugged Ridge AT fender flare kit or any other fender flare kit on the market. However, if you're somebody who likes something that's a little bit simpler, that just works right out of the box, this is the kit for you. Now, you are going to pay a little bit for that convenience, but again, it just comes down to what you want on your Jeep. So, if you're running the Rugged Ridge AT fender flare kit and you either don't have your factory inner fender liners or don't want to modify them, but you want to run a set of inner fender liners to keep junk and mud out of your engine bay, this is a really nice set. So, that's my review of the Rugged Ridge AT Fender Liner Kit, fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Construction. These all terrain fender liners from Rugged Ridge are constructed of high density polyethylene (HDPE), a thermoplastic. HDPE resists high heat, and withstands the jostling, twisting movements associated with traversing the trails without breaking.

Specs. This Rugged Ridge A/T 4 piece fender liner kit is designed to replace the stock fender liners that have to be removed when using aftermarket flares. Rather than leaving your JK's engine exposed to the elements, add these liners to your aftermarket flares to keep out dirt, mud, and debris.

Application. These liners are designed to combine with Rugged Ridge's all terrain Flat Flares. No fabrication required for to install these liners on 2007-2018 JK Wranglers.

Will these fender liners work with other aftermarket fender kits? Such as the Bushwacker flat fenders? https://www.extremeterrain.com/bushwacker-flat-style-jk1091807.html

    • The Rugged Ridge A/T Fender Liner Kit are designed specifically for the Rugged Ridge All Terrain fender flares, and have not yet been tested with other fender flares, so we are unable to confirm fitment at this time.

Terrible install video and sub par engineering

Where to start. The “install” video shows about 30 secs of poorly discribed installation. And if you were to install the liner as shown, you’ll have a gap between the fender liner. So in order to get your Rugged Ridge Hurricane fenders to fit properly you’ll have to trim off the exterior mounting lip of your new liner kit. The instructions are horrid. They expect your flat fenders, that were installed with bolts, to be held in tightly at highway speeds with plastic push panel clips. If I could do it over again, I would not buy or suggest someone to buy these liners.

      Rugged Ridge liner kit

Excellent products. Have bought many Rugged Ridge products and this was excellent quality like the rest. I used the liner kit with cutting my factory flares. It worked great. I highly recommend it!

      Great for a budget build

I went with these flares so I could clear 35's on a 2.5in. The instal was easy, instructions were great, and all the parts needed were in the box. I have had them on for about 3 months and I am completely satisfied. You will not find a better set of fenders for the price.

These liners did not fit well

I purchased these liners in a package with the fenders. I am pleased with the fenders, but very disappointed with the liners. About half of the holes did not line up and I had to drill out new or wider holes. Also on the front fenders you lose all but 2 nut/bolts fastening the fenders to the panels. The remaining nut/bolts are replaced with push rivets.
