This ring and pinion gear kit is designed to optimize your Dana M210 and M220 axle’s performance with upgrades that add weight or change your Jeep’s ride characteristics. The result is superior performance and a smoother ride whether on or off-road.
Get Back What Was Lost. Like most vehicles, your Wrangler’s axle gears are set-up to work with it stock tires. Swapping out your factory tires with wider — and heavier — off-road counterparts tend to diminish performance and fuel economy as your transmission works to find the right gear. Wider tires also tend to alter your engine’s RPM below its optimal range. Upgrading your ring and pinion gears ensures your transmission and engine RPMs are restored virtually to factory levels, so your Jeep performs as it should.
