This, in turn, helps your Wrangler achieve better performance by getting those large tires in place. These shorter gears compensate for the larger tires’ rolling diameter to recover lost acceleration and drivability.

Technical Note. Please note that JK Gears are thicker than traditional Dana 44 gears. JKs may only fit 3.73 & lower Dana 44 carriers. Aside from that, JK Gears also have double-drilled ring gear bolts and ring gear bolt holes on carriers may need to be drilled larger.
