This kit sports an impressive 5.13 gear ratio. Combined with a reverse rotation or high pinion gear, you’re ready for a more substantial lift and taller off-road tires.
Gears Built for Off-Road Demands. The Nitro Gear & Axle Gear and Pinion Kit are designed and manufactured for off-road demands with greater loads. Forged from 8620-grade triple alloy steel, these gears are made even better than factory equivalents. Surfaces are lapped 3 times to ensure the least amount of friction and operational noise.
Computer Tuning Recommended. Correct the speedometer reading after gear installation with a hand-held tuner (sold separately). Any change in differential gear ratios will result in speed measurement miscalculations.
Differential Assembly. It’s recommended that you leave the installation of the Nitro Gear & Axle Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to your trusted mechanic. This is to prevent installation mistakes that could cost you the warranty or worse – major drivetrain damages.
Nitro Gear & Axle Warranty. Nitro Gear & Axle is committed to customer satisfaction and quality products. As such, the manufacturer is offering a 2-year warranty on their Dana 30 Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to the original owner starting from the date of purchase. This covers defects in material and manufacturing but not damages caused by installation mistakes, mishandling, and neglect.
Technical Note. Jeep Wranglers with 4x4s require identical or close to identical front and rear gear ratios. Engaging your 4WD with mismatched gear ratios may result in serious damages to your drivetrain components.
