True to the classic yellow of our original family CJ, my Rubi was cared and adored for by a single owner Jeeper before I found her. I’ve put over 100 trail miles on her in the past two years, mostly in central PA and the wilds in coal country. Though mostly stock, she has had a couple of upgrades over the years and many more to come. The first upgrade I made before taking her out on the trail was a transfer shift linkage cable conversion; I scrapped the shoddy z-linkage and I’m much happier with the smoother shift. In the future she’ll be getting a lift, wheels and tires, but first I need some lights for the trail and a rack for transport; Because really what’s the point of having a Rubicon if you’re not going to use it?

I have experience in restoration, suspension and big block swaps from working on CJs as a youngster, which helped land me here at ExtremeTerrain. However, since our start I’ve learned a substantial amount about the specifics on Wranglers from YJ to JK and everything in between. Currently my expertise is no longer in CJs, but instead found in the well rounded TJ series. I’ll be applying this expertise on my Rubicon (named Grumble) and hope to have her re-wired, upgraded with lights and lifted in the up-coming years. Working here gives me a nice reminder of home, especially when there are other TJs and Jeepers on the lot.
