      Hide-a-Step

Makes getting into a lifted Jeep easy. The step is out if the way until I need it. Works well with rock rails. Since it folds up you can take it off road and it comes off if you need it to.

      Give it some long thought

Shipping was delayed as it was out of stock. Ok, I get that. It was advertised as an 11 inch drop down step. Turns out they measure from the bottom of the door to the step. The step really only drops down 4 or 5 inches. Furthermore, it doesn't fit unless you drill holes and make it fit and then I'm not sure it's going to work. Haven't installed it yet. Way overpriced which is not the fault of this company as it's the same price all over.

Install was super easy. No drilling. Connects to factory slider mounts. Our aftermarket slider (double rail) makes the slider had to access, but its functional. Bought driver and passanger side, works very well.

Wanted a minimalist step that provided functionality versus looks. This step is perfect. Clean, low profile install on my JKUR. Well built. A bit pricey IMO, but highly recommend.

      HOW TO EXTENDED YOUR STEP

IF YOU HAVE A BARRACADE SLIDER WITH A STEP MY YJ HAS A 5IN LIFT BUT WIFE CAN'T GET IN. SO I BOUGHT TH HIDE-A-STEP. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE STEP PART IS TO SMALL. I;LL WILL BE TAKEN PIC'S ON HOW TO FIX THAT PROBLEM. IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THAT PROBLEM WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW. BY THE WAY IT IS VERY WELL MADE. YJDAVE TN.

Great step. It's very robust and easy to install. The pins for easy removal when going off-road are a nice feature. Only downside is that they are a bit pricy for one step.

      Short Wife

Works perfect on my 17 Wrangler Unlimited and now my short wife can get in without complaint. Watched reviews on how to install and had to loosen the rock rail at all points to be able to wiggle the bracket into place (no big deal). Had to use two plastic ties to hold the spring on the bracket about half way while I wiggled the bracket under the rail and between the frame. Also, put a hammer handle between the bracket and the frame which helped a lot. I am a beginner at this type of thing. Spent an hour or so researching installation tips and it took me 45 minutes once I opened the box until completion.

      Hide a Step

The product works as advertised. Fit and finish are good and it feels sturdy (important for a step) when you use it. On the plus side: It was fairly easy to install - just jam it open with a short round socket and it should slip into place under the rubi rail bracket. I ditched the supplied hardware and used the factory Jeep bolt. Simple cantilever design folds up and stays put. Negatives: Its spendy for what it is at 130.00 dollars (at the time of purchase) its not a great value. Should be priced in the 65.00 to 75.00 dollar range. It doesn't come down far enough - it should come down 2 or 3 more inches to make it more usable. Overall it does what you ask it to.

      Works, but needs better instructions

The product does what it is intended to do. The installation instructions are extremely vague and it would be very helpful if a template was included for marking the holes to drill for mounting the step.

      Great option for "hidden" step

I installed one of these on the passenger side of my lifted JK to help my wife and my 7 year old. They love it. Function is great. It retracts and is nearly hidden when not in use and is a solid step. (Holds my 220lbs with no issues.) One watch out... This is designed to mount directly to the tub. I had a difficult time time getting the nuts on with my existing Rubi Rails.

Review from M.O.R.E. Hide-A-step Black (07-18 Wrangler JK)

      Exactly what I needed

It was a pretty easy install, I read both the manufacturer and the customer instructions and both seemed like they wouldnt work for me so I took the rail off and slid it over the arm and put the rail back on. Took about 25 minutes total to install. It is exactly what I needed. I wanted something for my daughter to get in the front seat without having to get big bulky rails. I wanted to keep the rubicon rails. What I was doing before is carrying a step stool and that got annoying hahah. It is pretty expensive for a step but IF it lasts then it would be well worth it, I have only had it installed one day so I wont really know how long it lasts for now. The idea behind this is great it tucks away and is removeable, that is pretty cool.

      Works Great

On my 2017 Wrangler it was easier to install than stated in their direction. No spring nut required, jeep has a threaded hole where the back bolt screws into. Took me only around 30 minutes or less to install one on each side. My wife and kids love using it to get in my 2 1/2 lifted Wrangler.
