This step mechanism uses a very strong spring. Extra care should be used during installation and use to prevent injury to fingers and hands!

The JKST07 Dead Pedal is designed to fit the following Jeep® vehicles: 2007 to current JK Wranglers. The step is designed to work along with the factory Rubicon rock rails. The step may interfere with other factory installed or aftermarket steps or rocker guards. The step is designed to be quick detachable by removing two pins.

STEP 1: If your jeep has factory installed Rubicon rock rails, Remove the two nuts and single bolt from the center rocker guard mount. (See figure 1) If your Jeep does not have rocker guards proceed to step 1A.

STEP 2: Pry Down on the rocker guard mounting arm and slide the step base (see figure 2) over the 2 studs. The step base plate goes between the body of the Jeep and the rocker guard mounting arm. (See figures 3 and 3A)

STEP 4: Reinstall the 2 nuts onto the studs and install the button headed bolt with a fender washer into the back hole.

STEP 5: Line up the holes and insert the two removable pins to complete assembly. (See figure 4)

STEP 6: The step has raised dimples to provide traction but care should be taken during use to prevent slippage. Mud, ice, and snow will make the step slicker. You are now done so GO JEEPIN!

STEP 1A: Locate the 2 holes in the body pinch seam near the center of the front door. ( See figure 5) Install the u-nut into the hole in the body directly behind the 2 holes in the pinch seam. (See figure 6)

STEP 2A: Insert the 1/4”x3/4” bolts with washers through the pinch seam and the step base. Install washers and nuts onto these bolts. Install The 8MM button head bolt through the back hole on the step base. (See figure 2 and 3A) Tighten all Hardware.

STEP 3A: Line up the holes in the step and insert the two pins to complete assembly (see figure 4)

STEP 4A: The step has raised dimples to provide traction but care should be taken during use to prevent slippage. Mud, ice, and snow will make the step slicker. You are now done so GO JEEPIN!
