These Mopar Rear Deluxe Molded Splash Guards with the Jeep logo are for those of you that have a 2007 to 2018 JK that has a factory rear bumper installed. These splash guards are going to attach to that rear bumper. If you have an aftermarket bumper, these are not going to work for you. But if you still have that rear bumper installed, you're looking for something to keep some of the spray down behind your vehicle, something to keep this area of the bumper a little bit cleaner, and something that's just going to change up the look and really give the Jeep a little bit more of a refined look, this is going to be an excellent option for you. These are going to be very inexpensive, especially for something that comes out of a Mopar box that has the Jeep logo on it. Usually, we expect to pay a premium for those things, but these are still very, very affordable and also very easy to install. So a mud flap is going to do a couple of different things for you. It is going to keep that spray from coming up on the vehicle, like I mentioned. It is going to change up the look of your vehicle as well, so you're going to get a couple of different things from this piece. I like buying things that are going to attach onto factory body pieces like this, where it's kind of molded directly to the bumper, directly from Mopar, because they're going to fit the best out of any of the other aftermarket options that you might be able to get. Now, speaking of aftermarket options, there are going to be some universal fit mud flaps out there that are going to have the same functionality as these ones, but they're not going to have the same fit and finish. So in my opinion, especially for the price of these, this is a really good way to go. Now I've said a couple times now that these are very affordably priced. These come in at $35 for a pair. If you're looking for the front and the rear, you're still only at $70 and I think that is an excellent deal for something that fits this well, works this well, and has that Jeep logo on them. Now, this is going to be a very, very simple one out of three wrench installation so let me show you exactly how to get them installed. Getting these mud flaps installed is a very easy one out of three wrenches. They just attach to that factory bumper with some self-tapping screws, so let me show you exactly how to do that. All you really need to do is hold the mud flap up to the bumper. It really only sits on there one way. And then you can start installing the self-tapping screws that come with the kit. Now, because you're going into plastic and these have a very sharp point on them, there's no need to pre-drill. Just go ahead and drive the screws right into the plastic of the bumper where the mud flap is pre-drilled.So if you're looking for a mud flap to finish off the look of your Jeep and keep the rear area a little bit cleaner, I would recommend this choice from Mopar and you can find them right here at extremeterrain.com.
