Ryan: This pair of Mopar 5-inch Round LED Lights are for those of you that have a 2018 and up JL that are looking to add some very high quality and very bright LED lights onto your Jeep. This is going to be a pretty easy two out of three wrenches for the installation. You are gonna have to do a little bit of wiring to get these hooked up, but we're gonna show you how to do that in just a second. So, anytime you're looking at any sort of auxiliary lighting, it's going to be to light up those dark back roads at night when there's no oncoming traffic to light up the trail for recoveries. There are some lights that you can use on the road when there is oncoming traffic, they're gonna be a driving beam or a fog light beam that are aimed properly. This is much more of a spread pattern. As you can tell by the lens on this, this is very diffused. So, again, this is going to be for lighting up those gutters, lighting up those dark back roads so that if there's any animals crossing the road or whatever it might be, you can see. But if there is oncoming traffic, this is going to blind them. So, make sure you turn these off in that scenario. But if you are looking for an incredibly high-quality light, this is going to be it. This is a light that is rubber mounted on the bottom here. Vibration can be something that can add some wear and tear to lights and eventually cause some failure. So, these are gonna be rubber mounted. They have absolutely huge cooling fins on the back because again, heat is the enemy of, especially an LED light. These have really large cooling fins they're gonna keep them nice and cool. As you can see in here, you have a bunch, there are a total of six diodes in each one of these lights. They are nice and big, you're gonna get a lot of light from them. And you have this glass lens here that is diffused so you get a really nice even spread of light which is really good for those recovery situations, the trails and dark back roads. Again, not when there's any oncoming traffic. In the kit, you're also going to get a pair of these light covers. In some areas, you need to keep your auxiliary lights covered when they're not in use or you may just wanna add these so that you don't have any stone throws that can damage your lights when you are on the road. And you're also going to get these wiring harnesses. What's interesting about these lights is that they don't have any sort of wire pigtail hanging off them at all. Right now there's actually just a weatherproof connector in the bottom here and then you have your wiring harness that comes along with it. The wiring harness will clip into the light and then on the other end of the harness, you just have a two-wire pigtail. The ground here is pre-terminated with connectors so that you can put that under a screw under any ground on the Jeep. And then you have your other lead here, which is going to be your 12-volt lead, your power lead, which is going to turn the lights on. So, these are pretty long. So, depending on where you put the lights, you may not have to lengthen these but you are going to have to connect them in one way or another. If you have that Mopar auxiliary switch panel, you can tie them to that or another method of switching, that part is going to be completely up to you. So, I like these lights because I think they're very well built. I think they are very bright. I turn them on and they're definitely very bright. You can see that they are well-engineered with the rubber mounting to eliminate any sort of vibration. They do say Jeep on them. Because they are from Mopar a lot of people are looking for that. But for all the reasons that I mentioned, the brightness, the quality, the fact that they're Mopar, they say Jeep on them, you are going to pay a little bit more for these than some of the other lights out there on the market. These are going to come in at right around that $630 mark. Again, I think they're very high quality, if you like only adding stuff that is Mopar onto your Jeep, keeping things all pretty much factory, this is gonna be a great way to go but you do have to pay a little bit of a premium for it. So, as I said before, this is gonna be a fairly straight forward installation, two out of three wrenches because of the little bit of wiring that's involved here. But now we're gonna show you exactly how to get them installed.Man: Tools used for this installation: 17-millimeter wrench, 3/8 socket, 17-millimeter socket, side cutters, wire strippers or crimpers, a long flathead, electrical tape. And optional is an impact. All right. Now, it's time to get these lights installed. Now, at the top of the bolt, you can see that it just sets in there. It is squared set in there. So, we're just gonna put it on the tab here. I'm gonna put my washer on first, followed up by my 17-millimeter nyloc nut. Just making sure it's square on that tab, tighten that up. Now, we're gonna tighten up that joint right there. Again, we're gonna be using a 17-millimeter wrench on the bolt head here, and then our impact is a 17-millimeter as well. I'm gonna do this lightly for now until it starts grabbing and then get my light into place. So, right there still have a little bit of movement, I'm going to make sure it's level and then tighten that down. All right. So, it's the same process on the passenger side. We're going to set our light into the tab. Get our washer and nut started. So, what I'm actually gonna do is lift up on the light itself to capture that top bolt. Now, we're gonna tighten up the side nut and bolt. All right. That's still loose, so I can position it where I want it. I'm gonna tighten that right there. All right. Now, comes the part of wiring it up. If you're putting these on a Jeep JL, you'll have the AUX one through four bank. You can use the three or four and wire that straight to the box. We have a JK so we are going to wire it up to a relay and switch. We're gonna first start off by connecting the Deutsch to the back of the light itself, run it up into the engine bay and then find a good spot for our relay and switch to go through the firewall. All right. We're gonna first start by popping the hood. All right. So, I moved the light over a little bit so you can see how this Deutsch connector goes in there. We're just gonna place it in and make sure it clicks and we're good to go. Do that for both sides. Then we're gonna run the wires together through a clear passageway underneath the bumper and through right about here in the grille in the quarter fender. So, we're gonna run both of these together. The kit does also supply you with some really nice zip ties, so I'm gonna grab those now. All right. Now, how you wire it is completely up to you. I'm using my zip ties, I'm gonna use one in the front here for my driver side wire, and I'm going to tuck that behind that bar so it's out of sight, then bring that wire even closer. I'm gonna tighten down what I got there. And then when you're cutting zip ties, make sure you use the flat edge of your side or diagonal cutters to cut that as flush as possible so no one gets hurt. Now, we're going over here, the other wire, and we're gonna conjoin the two right at this bar here. Now we're gonna go down to this bar here, go all the way down to that corner, cut off what you got there. Now, we can take these wires, run them underneath our grille, and in between our quarter panel right here to this little spot. All right. So, a little trick to easily route your wires, I'm gonna take some electrical tape and tape these all together. There's nothing crazy because I got to take this tape back off, but I'm also gonna insert my flat screwdriver into the end here, do a couple of turns on that as well. And this is gonna act as my snake pushing it up the quarter panel here in between the fender. And then pass that all the way through. And there's my wires, slip this end out, take your tape off, and then wire that to your harness or whatever you're wiring it to. All right. There's so many different ways to wire this up. If you do have that factory JL, you're gonna have that box with the auxiliary switches. We don't have that option here, so we are going to wire it through the firewall to a relay and to a switch. There's 100 different ways you can do this. It's totally up to you. That's how we're doing it.All right. That's gonna wrap up my install of the Mopar 5-inch Round LED Lights. And for all things Jeep, keep it here at extremeterrain.com.

Expensive but great quality
These lights cost more than I would prefer to pay. However, I purchased a different brand that fell apart during the assembly so I returned it and upgraded to these lights. They install very easily and are very bright. I am very happy with the purchase. It took about an hour to install.Helpful (0)
Will the dispersed lens pattern allow these to be mounted upside down?
These can be mounted upside down should you choose to do so.
Will this light mount to the top of my steel bumper using existing holes? My jeep is a 2019 Rubicon 2 door.
These will require drilling to mount to your bumper.
