3 2009 Wrangler - Silverback Installation Time: Afternoon

            Works ok

I can definitely tel it keeps my Jeep cooler especially on the rocks. After about a year of having it one of the hoses provided in the kit dry rotted and cause my transmission to dump it’s pan on the highway which cause is to overheat and required rebuilding. I work on hydraulics for a living and build hoses for aircraft. In my opinion the hoses supplied in this kit weren’t meant for transmission fluid and caused it to fail. I’ve since rebuilt the hoses using aircraft grade hose and and have had no problems since. The cooler itself does the jobs it’s supposed to.

4 2010 Rubicon - RoelC Installation Time: Afternoon

            Does it’s job and more

Great product. I’ve noticed about a 40-50degF drop in running temps especially on steep grades on the highway that I take on a daily basis. They are short 1 mile climbs at 75mph which I would run up in the 200degF and now it barely tops at 170degF. Haven’t take. It off reading as of yet though. Fit is tight but some modifications do need to be done to the upper radiator support namely a resin bracket that needs to be cut off. Routing is pretty simple and straight forward. I wish though that the provided clamps were a bit shorter. I’m kinda OCD about that. I’ve clipped them and wrapped them in electrical tape so not to introduce chaffing of the adjacent lines. Also the top push plug that is supposed to hold the core to the upper radiator support is just. Just too small and also didn’t line up as suggested in the instructions and the numerous UTube videos. So I just used zip ties for now till I can fashion a nut and bolt fix and tap the radiator support. Also make sure you plumb it properly and not backwards. Makes a big difference in temps and efficiency. Btw, that was not explained in either the instructions or UTube.

5 2007 Wrangler - JKLADY Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

            Life Saver

Before I had this I would have major issues with over heating on the trail, and would have to stop and cool off. With this I don't have to and can go all day long. The price wasn't that bad for what I got, performance sky rocketed, and the fit had to be fabbed a little due to a bad mounting point on the radiator surround. Other than that, I love it. Would buy again.

            3 2011 Rubicon Unlimited - LWC350 Installation Time: Afternoon

            Difficult install improper fit

One complaint about this product is the installation and fit. Instructions are incomplete and their installation video is moderately helpful. The product, once installed performs as expected and the unit is well built. The issues with the installation: there is a part of the frame that does not allow a straight installation without making a different mounting for the top left (final fit is crooked). The bottom brackets did not align, and had to bend the brackets with a hammer to get them to fit correctly. This should have been a simple 45 minute install but turned into 2 1/2 hours of aggravation.

            4 2010 - ChoperTom Installation Time: Afternoon

            Bracket issues

The instructions are not very good even with the on line video. The lower brackets didn't allow the top of the cooler to fit in the front radiator brackets. I had to do some modifications. Once installed it works great.
