Unfortunately, this same quality makes them rather easy to steal. This is where the McGard Door Anti-Theft Lock Set comes in. These anti-theft locks are designed to replace your hinge nuts with a component that cannot be opened without using the included specialty key. The secret is a collar that spins freely when would-be thieves try to loosen the locks using a gripping tool. Additionally, the collar looks like the hinge nut that it replaces, making it completely inconspicuous. Best of all, these locks will not hinder your vehicle’s doors’ operation. This way you could keep them installed till you need to take your doors down for your next off-road adventure.
Rigid Build Quality. These door anti-theft locks and their included keys are made from hardened steel, making them extremely strong. Furthermore, these locks are machine-formed following OE specifications to ensure an accurate fit and factory looks. Finally, these components receive a wear-resistant black powder coat finish on the security collars, giving them the look of factory hinge nuts.
Uncomplicated Install Procedure. These door anti-theft locks are designed to replace your Wrangler’s factory door hinge nuts using the included key. Once installed, there is no need to remove the locks till you need to remove the doors. Also, this key is designed to be used with a 0.25-inch ratchet for convenience. Please take care not to lose the key.
