Description
Universal Catalytic Converter. The Magnaflow Universal Catalytic Converter is designed to efficiently reduce harmful emissions while helping to prevent check engine light activation. It is California Grade CARB compliant and suitable for vehicles requiring CARB-compliant parts, offering reliable performance to maintain emissions standards. Its universal design supports installation in a wide range of vehicles that need a compliant replacement converter.
Construction and Appearance. This catalytic converter is constructed from high-quality 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing with durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds, ensuring exceptional corrosion resistance and long service life. The clam-shell oval body is compact and lightweight with an aluminized steel heat shield attached for additional protection, finished in natural stainless steel for a durable and clean appearance. It features a ceramic substrate for efficient catalytic conversion.
Installation. Professional installation with welding is required, as no clamps, hangers, gaskets, or mounting hardware are included. The universal pipe connection design allows for placement according to vehicle specifications, but installation will require appropriate welding tools and skills. The product does not confirm that additional drilling is unnecessary, so installers should assess fitment carefully.
Warranty. This product includes a limited 5-year construction and emissions warranty, providing confidence in its durability and performance.
Application. This catalytic converter is compatible with the 2004-2006 4.0L Jeep Wrangler TJ among other vehicles. It is designed as a universal fit part, so some vehicles may require additional adjustments or fabrication during installation. Fitment should be confirmed for specific vehicle requirements before purchase.
