How to Install Lange Door Hangers (87-18 Wrangler YJ, TJ, JK & JL) on your Jeep Wrangler

Tools Required
  • Box Cutter/Knife
  • Stud Finder
  • Drill
  • 1⁄4" Drill Bit
  • 10mm Socket
  • Socket Wrench
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Philips Head Screwdriver

1. Using a stud finder, locate a stud along the section of wall intended to mount the door hangers from (Figure A).

2. Mark first screw location (Figure B).

3. Place the door hanger where the first screw location mark is aligned and mark the second screw location.


4. Drill a pilot hole using a 1⁄4" drill bit in both marked locations (Figure C).

5. Place the door hanger, aligned with the pilot holes, back on the wall.


6. Using a 10mm socket, start a bolt in both locations (Figure D).

7. Tighten both bolts until they are flush with the door hanger (Figure E).

8. Locate the next closest stud using a stud finder and mark the two mounting holes level with the door hanger already installed (Figure F).

9. Repeat Steps 4-7 in mount the second door hanger (Figure G).

10. Slide a hanger into each mounted arm and start both screws in the top of each hanger (Figure H).

11. Using a mallet, hammer a black plastic end cover into each of the four openings of the two hangers (Figure I).
