I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com and this is my review and installation of the Kargo Master Mod-Rak EXP System fitting all 2007 to 2017 JKs that are equipped with the Kargo Master roof rack system. Today, we're gonna talk through the installation of this system which is a very simple one out of three wrenches to bolt on to your existing Kargo Master roof rack. We're also going to talk about the construction of this flooring system and a few of the other features. This system is for those of you who currently have the Kargo Master Cage roof rack and are looking for a flooring system so you can have some smaller items up on the roof rack without them falling through the slats of that rack. This system also has the ability to add sides onto it which make it really convenient to strap a cargo net, bungee cords or even ratchet straps to hold all of your cargo in place. You can also get other accessories for this flooring system like shovel and jack mounts to make this very modular and very, very useful. Any time you're running a roof rack on an off road Jeep that is going to be in a lot of off camber situations, you do wanna keep the weight of the roof rack as low as possible to keep your center of gravity as low as possible. But if you're somebody who stays on the road or who has more of an overlanding rig and isn't as worried about the roof rack weight, this is a great way to get a lot more storage up on the top of the roof. This is a big flooring system. This provides you with fifty five and a half by seventy eight and a half inches of space. In fact, it's so big we only have a portion of it on the table here. The whole system is made of lightweight aluminum that's covered in a textured black powder coat finish to help it resist rust and corrosion. I really like the fact that each of these panels even though they are large flat aluminum panels do have dimples stamped right into them which give you a non-skid surface. If you do put a small item down on here and have a light strap over the top of it, it's not going to want to slide around. As I said before, this is a very simple one out of three wrench installation. All you're going to need to get this done are some traditional hand tools and some patience because there are quite a few parts and a good bit of hardware that are necessary to get this put together. The whole installation starts on the ground by putting the flooring system together with the included tubes, flooring pieces, tier down mounts and hardware. Once you have everything put together, it's just a matter of hoisting it on top of your Kargo Master Cage, and again, use the included hardware to attach it to the cage. The whole installation process will probably take you around two hours by the time you get this assembled and get it mounted on the cage, but again, no specialty tools are necessary, just some hand tools. It's no secret that this is an expensive piece. It's going to run you a little over $1000 just for this flooring setup and that doesn't count the Kargo Master Cage that you need to purchase to mount this on. However, if you're looking for a way to be able to run some small items up on your roof rack without the chance of them falling through the grid of the floor of the rack, this is a really nice solution. There are a lot of other flooring kits out there that have flooring slats, but they don't give you the full flooring coverage that solid pieces of aluminum like this give you. If that's something that you're looking for as well as the ability to mount a lot of other accessories on your roof rack, this is going to be a setup worth looking into. So if you have a Kargo Master Cage roof rack on your JK already and you're looking for a flooring system so you can carry a lot more items and also smaller items securely, this is going to be a nice option. That's my review of the Kargo Master Mod-Rak EXP System fitting all 2007 and up JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
