How to Install Kargo Master Hinge Steps - Pair (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK) on your Jeep Wrangler

Install Instructions:

1. First install the 4 rubber bumpers on the both sides of each step. Use a little soap on the small nub then firmly push it into place as shown. You may also need needle nose pliers to pull the nub through.

2. Using a T50 torx bit, remove the 2 bolts from ONLY the top hinge. It is important to leave the bottom hinge bolts fully tight at this point.

3. Using the supplied bolts, washers, and lock washers install the upper step assembly as shown. Be sure to use the supplied rubber gasket between the bracket and the door hinge. Using a 5mm hex bit, fully tighten both bolts.

4. Next, use a T50 torx to remove the 2 lower hinge bolts.

5. Then install the lower bracket as shown. Place the rubber gasket, then the bracket, then insert the bolts with washers and lock washers. Just snug them for now.

6. Install the lower bracket bolt, washer, and lock washer as shown. Fully tighten using a 5mm hex. Then fully tighten the bottom 2 hinge bolts using the 5mm hex.

7. Repeat steps 2-6 on for the other step. Then check to make sure both doors open and close properly.
