How to Install Kargo Master Congo Pro Kit (07-17 Wrangler JK 4 Door) on your Jeep Wrangler

Installation Time

Tools Required
  • T-40 torx driver
  • 6mm Allen wrench
  • 5/8” Socket
  • 1/2” Socket
  • 9/16” Socket
  • 3/8” Allen wrench
  • 1/4” Allen wrench

Installation Instructions

1. Remove 5 - T40 torx bolts from left and right windshield reinforcement bracket. (Top 3 bolts on outside and 2 on the front).


2. Install front hoop with the 10, M8x35mm bolts, lock washers, washers and nylon spacers provided, with a 6mm Allen wrench.



3. Remove the 2 bolts from the stock bumper support and frame with a 5/8” socket.
Do the same on the opposite side.


Remove the stock bumper bolt in the rear of the frame with a 5/8” socket. (This will allow the rack support to slide in easier between the bumper and body). Do the same on the opposite side.


4. Slide the rack support mount between the bumper and the body, insert 2 supplied
carriage bolts. Place the provided ‘H’ spacer in the stock bumper mount and the new
mount and install the provided bolts, lock washers and washers with a 5/8” socket.
Reinstall the stock bumper bolt in the rear of the frame, (removed in step 3).
Do the same on the opposite side.



5. Install the ‘U’ bracket onto the carriage bolts with the 5/16” nyloc nuts, washers and
1/2” socket.


Do the same on the opposite side.


6. Insert 2 bushings and a metal sleeve into the end of the rear upright. Do the same on the other rear upright.


7. Install the rear upright, bushing end into the ‘U’ bracket and install 3/8” Hex bolt, lock
washer and washer with 9/16” socket.


Do the same on the opposite side.


8. Attach rear upper hoop to the rear uprights with a 1/2” socket head cap screw, 1/2”
nyloc nut and a 3/8” Allen wrench.


Do the same on the opposite side.


9. Place the roof rails on top of the Jeep with the straight end towards the back and the
bent end towards the front. Install the end caps with 6, 5/16” socket head cap bolts and
1/4” Allen wrench.


Do so on both ends of the rail.


Do not tighten until all bolts are installed.


Do the same on the other rail.
