Superior Control. Prepare your JKU for extreme trail abuse by investing in the JKS Jspec 3.5 in. JKontrol Lift Kit. This kit includes everything necessary for stability and off road control while ensuring your Jeep's critical driveline and axle geometry are maintained. This 3.5 inch lift accommodates up to 35 inch tires with massive ground clearances for rock crawling and extreme trail mastery.

Proper Geometry. One of the most important concerns of lifting a Wrangler is maintaining driveline and axle geometry to prevent critical failures. This kit comes equipped with heavy duty control arm brackets to provide the proper caster and a more natural ride by redirecting force into the coil springs. A beefy adjustable front track bar ensures a stable and centered front axle and is paired with relocation brackets to ensure proper clearances.

Fox Shocks. This kit comes equipped with FOX 2.0 Evolution Series Front and Rear Shocks for a quality ride and unrivaled control on and off road. These shocks feature an internal floating piston design and are Nitrogen charged to 200 psi for predictability without fading.

Quicker Disconnects. Gain instant access to full articulation to take on bigger and tougher obstacles with the JKS Quicker disconnects. These front disconnects provide flawless function and are fully serviceable for continued performance and longevity. Installation and use is simple and straightforward to maximize articulation and off road capability with the pull of a pin.

Kit Contents. This kit includes everything you'll need for superior off road capability. It includes dual rate coil springs for an ideal ride on and off road, FOX 2.0 Evolution Series Front and Rear Shocks, an adjustable front track bar, control arm brackets, front sway bar Quicker Disconnects, front and rear brake line relocation kits to prevent axle travel restrictions, a rear track bar bracket and front and rear bump stop extensions to maintain compression limits, as well as all the necessary hardware for installation.

Application. The JKS Jspec 3.5 in. JKontrol Lift Kit is specifically designed for 2007 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited (4 door) models including Rubicons. Note: 2012-2017 models may need a exhaust spacer kit for installation.

Nice Lift for my 2012 JK

Put the 3.5 JKontrol lift on with 33in tires on 18 rims. Looks great and rides about the same as stock. I would say it's close to stock but the ride is better.

Ask a Question

Any drive train or other geometry issues that need to be corrected with parts not included with the 3.5 jspec lift kit?

Hi. I'm thinking about getting this lift kit. What offset do you recommend on 17" rims with this kit?

  • Thank you for your question! Any wheels will fit with this kit since the life does not effect the wheels. The offset and backspacing of a wheel would have to be at 4.5" of backspacing or less for some steering components and tires.

have any of you had to add a drive shaft to this? I am seriously looking at getting this kit to run 35 tires and to do some off roading but nothing major

  • The JKS Jspec 3.5 in. JKontrol Lift Kit will require a driveshaft to ensure proper clearance through the full articulation of the suspension.

Will I need any other parts for this to fit my 2011 Wrangler unlimited sport? And is the stock driveshaft ok to use with this lift or is it recommended to buy a larger one?

  • With the JKS Jspec 3.5 in. JKontrol Lift Kit (07-17 Wrangler JK 4-Door) you can use your stock driveshaft, just be sure to add an exhaust spacer like this If you are going to be hitting the trails often, I would recommend upgrading the driveshaft to a longer one.

I am thinking about this kit for my build and was wondering if upgrading to the 2.0 shocks with Reservoirs made sense. It's too bad ET doesn't offer the ability to swap the shocks for the reservoir ones like other sites do (hint hint). Can this lift be done in a driveway with standard jacks or is a lift necessary? thanks

  • Thank you for your question! I will submit you feedback to our product team about adding the reservoir shocks as an option! If you're Jeep is a main trail rig, reservoir shocks are a great upgrade to help make sure your ride quality is maintained on long off roading trips! If your Jeep is mostly street driven, reservoir shocks are usually not a necessary upgrade. We suggest professional at a shop for all lifts- due to the nature of any and all safety concerns, but if you feel comfortable doing it in your driveway- go for it! You would want to make sure your drive way is level and your jacks are tall enough to get everything up.

What difference does the JKontrol make?

  • The J Kontrol system contains JKS’s beefy control arm relocation brackets with an OEM style drag link flip kit for the ultimate combination of durability, road comfort and un-rivaled street handling. The control arm bracket flattens the front control arm angles and correct alignment. The drag link flip kit levels the drag link which completely eliminates any hint of bump steer.

    Jkontrol = Awesome

Just reiterating on what everyone said, this is a solid product. Here's a quick review of the parts and install. Pros: -excellent fit and finish. -materials used were super beefy and solid. -hardware (nuts and bolts) are all individually package for ease of installation. -best colored instruction manual I've used. Not some cheap piece of paper that'll ripp halfway thru the build. -comes with Fox 2.0 shock:) *after a few days of driving on Highway and small offroad obstacles, this kit is amazing. After getting alignment, everything was in spec, including caster. Cons: -I'm not a fan of drilling so I purchased a set of jks adjustable rear endlinks. Also wished they included exhaust brackets. -Had to drill to do the flip drag link mod. Wished there was another way. -they could have put more details on installing and adjusting the steering and trackbar. Make sure you do additional research. *the adapter brackets for track bars are a tight fit, especially the front ones. Just take your time and to get those holes lined up. Conclusion: It really is a good lift kit with quality parts. It's not an easy installation but doable. I'd hate to say it, but it really does ride better than stock.

Review from JKS Jspec 3.5 in. JKontrol Lift Kit (07-17 Wrangler JK 2 Door)

    Pretty good......but......

JKS products are top notch. Here's a couple of things to note if you intend on buying this lift. 1. You don't get new rear sway bar links. JKS has you drill holes above the old link holes on the axle.----$80 for JKS adjustable sway bar links on ET. 2. Buy some coil wedges for the rear---$30, trust me. 3. I had a heck of a time trying to get the rear track bar into the rear track bar bracket. I decided the heck with the bracket and bought an adjustable track bar---$130. 4. You'll never get your front axle centered by yourself with the jam nut style front track bar. Get it close, take it to get an alignment shop, and let them deal with it. ------ All in all, I dig it.

    My first lift

From stock to these---WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! The ride quality on road is great. I didnt give a good review on thr off road due to not having taken it out yet. Installation for a first timer is hard. You NEED an extra set of hands. We messed up a few times and had to uninstall backwards to get it to fit right the 2nd time. The instructions are very bad at some areas, hens the uninstallation and reinstallation of certain areas. Atthe end though, im VERY pleased. Hint, my steering was off 90•. Thats because we didnt set the steering wheel center before installing the steering rod.

    Smooth On and Off-Road

I installed this lift a few weeks ago and I could not be happier. It rides smoother than factory and it looks awesome! I highly recommend this lift kit!! I do suggest buying the JKS rear sway links. I installed them while installing the lift, so there was no need to drill the rear tabs. Easy to follow instructions. Definitely worth the $$$!

    Pay for what you get.....

Went with the 3.5" JKS lift and debated between this lift and AEV as I was looking for strong on road behavior and the ability to have some fun on weekends all while running 35" tires. Installer even commented that it was a well built kit and enabled stock specs for a safe and confident on road/highway ride for mom and the family. Very happy after 2 weeks so far and no issues or rubbing.

Top of the line lift kit

The instructions of the lift kit could be improved as well as including the step drill that they claim to include. Additionally the hardware included in the kit could've been organized better. Regardless I'd highly recommend this kit, each piece is so solid, I have zero concerns while wheeling. Everything except the front track bar bracket lined up like stock.
