The sensor features an auto-relearn function to simplify setup; while specialized TPMS scan tools are generally not required, using a TPMS activation tool can assist with sensor initialization when needed. After installation, it’s recommended to park the vehicle for 15 minutes, then drive continuously above 15 mph for approximately 10 minutes to complete the relearn process.
