Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the turn signal covers in a smoked finish, fitting all 2018 and newer Sahara and Rubicon JL Wranglers. So, if you're in search of some small but noticeable mods to switch up the look to the front end of your JL, this is gonna be a great choice to take a look into. So, obviously, these are going to have a smoked finish, which is going to add a sleek and stealthy look to the front end of your JL while also matching with any other smoked accessories or light covers that you already have on your Jeep. Now, that's going to, obviously, give you some extra styling, but these are also going to provide a little bit of protection as well, made of a rigid composite instruction. And if any hiccup happens on the road, this is going to take all of that abuse instead of the light behind it.Now, what I do really like about these is the fact that they are still semi-transparent, light is still going to come through. However, it is going to be dim, so if you are looking for something that is going to allow all the light through, this may not be the best option. But if you're really going for that stealthy and smoked look and don't really mind the LED marker lights not shining through the brightest, then this is still a good choice. Now, you still will able to see the amber marker light on the side and it is going to be very noticeable when you are making turns and have your hazards on. Now, these are gonna be attached by dual-lock 3M tape. So, what I really like about these is that you don't have to keep these on all the time. It's set up similar to a Velcro construction, it sticks on the light and on the back of the cover here, so you can just peel them off and stick them on whenever you'd like.So, with that being said, these are gonna come in at roughly $70. Now, these do have a quality construction, and I do like the fact that you're able to put these on and take these off whenever you'd like, and they are going to be very durable for a composite construction. Now, in comparison to some other solutions for light guards or light covers on the page, some may not have the smoked finish, some may have a clear finish set up very similar to this, or some may be for options that are not a smoked cover, or even a cover at all, but they're more of a guard to make sure that the light behind it is not getting damaged and it has a little bit of protection. Now, if you're going for the protection and more of the styling for that smoked and stealthy look for the front end of your JL, then this is going to be it. As far as install goes, like I said, this is going to consist of some 3M tape, so you're not gonna need any tools to get the job done. It's gonna be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you no longer than 15 minutes to do it. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tool that I used for my install was an alcohol prep pad. So, to kick off this install, you wanna make sure that your marker light is completely clean. And we're also going to take an alcohol wipe to this. Now, you don't necessarily need this, it's not included in the kit, but it is very helpful to make sure that the surface is prepped for that 3M tape and making sure that there's nothing going to mess up the adhesion process. So, I'm just gonna rip open this alcohol wipe, and then just clean the area. The 3M tape is going to attach up at the top and down at the bottom here on the main part of the marker light. You don't necessarily have to take the alcohol swab to the whole light, you just wanna make sure that those places are as clean as possible. We can put this aside. Then, we can take the cover, making sure that this is the correct side. Gonna peel back the backing on the 3M tape.Now, I would like to mention, this is also dual-lock 3M tape. When this is on, we'll be able to pull this off and leave one part on. Then, if we ever wanna put them on again, we can just stick the cover right back on. But we're gonna keep the dual-lock tape together and just peel the backing off of the back piece of tape. We're gonna do the same thing with the bottom. Now, this is gonna make sure that when we install it, both of those strips are as even and aligned as possible. So, once that's off, what we can do is align this on the side. I like to kind of align it right around that curve here on the body. Once that's in a good spot, we'll press down firmly on the top and the bottom for about 30 seconds. And we can repeat that process on the other side.So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe.
