Simple Install Procedure. Installing these side mirror covers is a breeze as these are preinstalled with automotive-grade double-sided adhesive tape backing, making installation a simple peel-and-stick process. Before installation, however, it is advisable that you thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces before wiping them down with a clean rag moistened with alcohol or acetone. This is to optimize the adhesion of the tape to your vehicle. Also, when mounting these covers during cold weather, it is suggested that you first heat up the mounting surfaces as the adhesive works best on warm surfaces. This can be accomplished with a heat gun or hairdryer.
