Description
Heavy-Duty Frame Repair. The Frame Center Section Rust Repair Kit restores the structural integrity of the Jeep TJ frame at the critical transfer case skid plate mounting area. This kit addresses common issues such as rust damage and stripped or spinning bolts, reinforcing the mid-frame section to ensure long-lasting durability.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from robust 7-gauge (.19") thick steel, the kit includes four precision-cut plates with formed inner sections for enhanced strength and to reduce welding requirements. Four additional tie-in plates provide extra rigidity by connecting across the body mount areas. The weld nuts are incorporated inside the frame, designed for secure skid plate attachment.
Installation. Installation requires welding, cutting, and grinding, making it suitable for experienced fabricators or professional welders. No drilling is required, but familiarity with frame repair techniques is essential.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 2003 through 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models, this kit replaces the frame’s center section where the skid plate mounts, ensuring proper fitment and compatibility. It uses 1/2" UNC bolts provided in the kit and is not compatible with original factory metric bolts.
