Description
Radical Shock Upgrade for Extreme Off-Roading. If you find your current shock absorber setup is not up to par with your extreme off-roading spirit, then you need the ICON Vehicle Dynamics S2 Secondary Shock Upgrade System; Stage 3. This secondary shock kit is designed to expand your current ICON coilover setup with a pair of Omega series front shocks and a specialized mounting system. The included shocks themselves feature a nitrogen-charged monotube design with remote reservoirs that when paired with your coilovers deliver optimum off-road damping response and handling feel. What’s more impressive is this system delivers a firm but smooth on-road feel characterized by supremely stable handling. This way, you don’t lose the daily driving capabilities of your Tacoma.
Compression and Rebound Adjustable. The Omega series shocks included with this system also offer compression and rebound adjustability via a pair of external knobs. Furthermore, these knobs provide 28 adjustment settings that are accessed without the need for tools. These factors allow you to fine-tune your damping setup to match the terrain conditions you’re in.
Hardwearing Build Quality. The included shocks utilize one-piece shock bodies that are machined from high-quality aircraft aluminum, offering superior durability and corrosion resistance in a lightweight package. This construction also offers more efficient heat dissipation for consistent performance. Moreover, their 0.875-inch piston rods are similarly machined from induction hardened chrome-plated steel, making them tough enough for regular off-roading. Meanwhile, high-grade polyurethane bushings are used to help eliminate vibrations, helping maintain smooth ride quality. Lastly, these components come in a natural silver finish that’s protected by a rugged topcoat.
No-Frills Install Procedure. These secondary shock absorbers are designed to mount next to your coilovers using the included mounting hoops from the top and lower control arm skid plates on the bottom. Some drilling and trimming may be required to ensure a proper fit. Apart from these steps, installation is a relatively no-frills procedure that uses standard hand tools to complete.
Covered by a Limited Lifetime and 1-Year Warranty. The ICON S2 secondary shock system is covered by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects to the hard parts, and a limited 1-year warranty for their shocks. Please visit the manufacturer’s website for more details.
