How to Install Hyline Offroad Rocker Guards (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door) on your Jeep Wrangler

Installation Time

30 minutes

Tools Required
  • Socket Wrench with 10mm Socket

Installation Notes: There is a total of 2 parts. 1 – Driver side Rocker Guard and 1 Passenger side Rocker Guard. You will need cleaning supplies including rubbing alcohol to make sure the surface is clear of all dirt and grease before installing the Hyline Offroad Rocker Guards. Failure to thoroughly clean the area my result in the automotive double-sided tape not adhering to the surface of the Jeep®.

Before Install

1. Loosen the front bolt from the pinch seam enough to slide the rocker guard behind it using a 10mm socket.

2. Clean the entire area where the rocker guard will be placed with soap and water or another cleaning solution. Clean the area where the automotive double-sided tape will attach to the Jeep® with rubbing alcohol.

3. Remove the tape liner from the automotive double-sided tape.

4. Slide the noticed end of the rocker guide onto the front bolt that was loosened in step 1.

5. Align the rocker guard with the edge just under the door well. NOTE: The automotive double-sided tape is very strong and will not remove easily once placed on the Jeep®. Take your time positioning the rocker guard. Push firmly against the rocker guard where the tape is secured to the Jeep®. Tighten the front bolt that was loosened in step 1 once the rocker guard is attached using the automotive double-sided tape.

6. Bend the bottom finger tabs up around the pinch seam. These tabs will help hold the rocker guard in place.
