Replace Your Jeep’s Worn or Degraded Shackle Bushings. Most OE and aftermarket manufacturers pair their shackles with weak, compliant, flexible rubber. While this rubber may hold up in short-term applications, it’s a common point of wear and tear in long-term, heavy-use components, such as suspension bushings. When your Jeep YJ’s shackle bushings begin to degrade and wear, they can form driveability issues such as clunking and popping when traversing bumps and potholes, turning, and braking. Additionally, you may feel a looseness in your front or rear suspension, especially when navigating turns or accelerating.
For Use With Aftermarket Shackles. This product is engineered strictly for use with aftermarket shackles for either the front or rear of your Jeep Wrangler TJ. It’s not recommended for use with OE shackles.
Heavy-Duty Polyurethane Construction. Where standard rubber bushings flex and give, polyurethane bushings hold their shape for increased rigidity, longevity, and performance. By nature, polyurethane is far stiffer than rubber, making it far less likely to degrade or deteriorate in a heavy-use application. Additionally, polyurethane is highly resistant to extreme atmospheric conditions, oils, and chemicals, making it the ideal material for bushings and soft parts in automotive applications.
Increased Performance. These polyurethane Frame Shackle Bushings are intended to increase the handling performance of your Jeep by minimizing flex and deflection between the frame and shackle. By confining movement to the suspension where it belongs, the result is a sportier, stiffer, performance-based ride.
Warranty. This product is backed by a 7-year, 750,000-mile warranty against defects in manufacturing; finish and normal wear are not covered.
Application. This product is designed for use on 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ models equipped with aftermarket front and rear leaf spring shackles.
