This DV8 Off-Road Tramp Stamp Rear Tailgate Cover Plate is for those of you that have a 2007-2018 JK that are looking to replace that factory plastic flapper over the rear vent with something that looks a little bit nicer and to show off your pride in the DV8 brand. The vast majority of you that are gonna be running these are not running any sort of spare tire on your jeep. But a good number of you could also be in our situation where we do have a bumper mounted tire carrier but we still wanna finish off this area and make it look a little bit nicer than that factory plastic piece anyway. This is gonna be a very, very simple one out of three wrench installation. This isn't going to take you more than a few minutes to do. As long as you have the factory hardware for your factory tire carrier, this is gonna go on very, very simply and I'll show you exactly how to do that in just a second. So as I said, this is really an aesthetic piece more than anything else. This isn't going to add any functionality to your jeep. However, if you're not running any spare, you have a you have a nice clean area back here, this is going to look a lot better than having that plastic vent in place. This is going to be a pretty high quality vent cover in my opinion. This is going to be three-sixteenths inch steel. This is going to be laser-cut. It has a nice wrinkled black powder coat finish on it which is going to match not only a lot of DV8 accessories but really a lot of after-market accessories than you might have bolted onto your jeep in general. And of course it has a little bit of a seamless mesh behind it here just to make that DV8 logo pop a little bit and give this a little bit more character. This is gonna run you right around $60 which is a little bit pricey when you consider the fact that this is just a flat piece of steel with some lettering etched out of it, but when you consider the market, when you consider the rest of them are gonna be right around the same price, that's just the going rate. Now I mentioned before this is a very, very simple installation, let me show you exactly how to do it now. Most of you are already going to have your spare tire mount removed before you install this. So we just have our factory bolts threaded into the tailgate and we're gonna go ahead and remove those so we can install the Tramp Stamp. The only other step in the uninstallation is removing this plastic piece here which we'll get to in just a second. So first I'm gonna go ahead and remove the bolts. Now we can remove the plastic vent cover. Now we can go ahead and install our Tramp Stamp with the factory hardware. So if you're all looking to change up the look of your jeep, maybe finish it off a little bit more, whether you're running a spare tire or not, I would recommend taking a look at this option from DV8 Off-Road and you can find it right here at extremeterrain.com.
