Specs. A major upgrade from the cheap plastic stock 4WD shifter knob, Drake Off-Road's Aluminum 4WD shifter knob is a stylish, suave, yet virile-looking addition to your JK Wrangler interior. The soft rubber hand grip provides you with excellent control, and its tire-tread pattern is very eye-catching, too. Functionality is superb and the black anodized finish is very durable.

Construction. Manufactured out of brawny, practically unbreakable billet aluminum, this Drake 4WD shifter knob features a black anodized coating for additional aesthetic and durability qualities. The tire-tread grip is made with Drake's patented (D650,258 S) polyurethane. The part is covered by a 1 year limited warranty but will likely last far longer than that under normal use.

Application. This 4WD shifter knob fits 2007-2018 JK Wranglers. Installation is easy, but removing the plastic factory knob requires a lot of strength, and must be done cautiously as it pops off suddenly. Use of a strap wrench recommended, though not required.

            Great addition

I also purchased the automatic shifter knob with the same style as this one. They both look awesome on my JKU!

Pairs really good with the 6 speed shift knob

As with the 6 speed shift knob, you have to put some muscle into pulling the stock knob off. Rest of installation is a breeze and looks great together with the 6 speed knob.

This is a great upgrade from the stock plastic knob. It has a solid sporty feel and look.

Review from Drake Off Road 4WD Shifter Knob - Brushed (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

Looks great along side the 6 speed shifter

I have a 2008 Sahara 2 door. It came with the silver AC vent covers, so when my OEM shifter started falling apart I decided to pull the trigger on this and it glad I did! I bought the three pieces together with the silver shifter bezel and I think it looks fantastic. Install was super easy, just small metric Allen wrenches needed and it holds place nice. It feels nice in the hand and I love the look would recommend

            Great product...shipping, not so much.

I paid an extra $5 to get the items in before the weekend...I saw that it was delayed so I called and was told that if I wanted a refund on the shipping that I would have to call them back after the product came in to get the refund?? Why not just give me a credit right then? Terrible customer service...I know it's just $5 but that's really not the point. The shifter knobs are awesome...love the way they look and here is a tip for taking the old shifter knobs off; there is a ring at the bottom of each of those JEEP model shifter knobs all you have to do is get a small flat head screw driver and a hammer gently tap it out until the ring pops off then the shifter know comes off pretty easily. Shipping and customer service...step it up...geeze.

            4X4 Shift knob

Just about hit myself pulling the grip off. Brute force is the only way to remove the grip. Took about 10 minutes total to remove and replace. My grip looked like it was glued in place but did come off and was not destroyed. As with the A/T shift knob, this will take a little getting used to as is shorter than the stock grip to include how to actually handle for moving. Looks nice and is functional. Being all metal besides the rubber grip, may need to wear gloves in winter to keep from getting contact frostbite living in Alaska.

            Looks Great! But different.

It is a little pricey maybe for what it is, but it looks great... which I think is indicated in the website pics. The only real with installing is removing the factory handle. You pretty much have to break it to get it off, which I didn't care for. It bolts in with two side mounted screws... which I get the feeling I will have to tighten periodically, but it's an easy install and took very little time. The only real negative for the item might be that it's cold... but that's to be expected going from plastic to steel. So if you can justify the purchase to yourself... you will enjoy it.

            Love it!

Install was super quick once I found the easy way to remove the old knob. A large pair of channel locks and a good hard twist will pop it right off. This looks great!

Love the look of the shifter! Goes well with the floor mats with the tire tracks. I also went with the center console that has tire tracks on it

            Gotta have both!!!

Saw lots of install videos. The factory knob is just jammed on. You simply put vehicle in neutral (park brake on), pull transfer case lever to neutral and give a good two hand pull. Just make sure you don't punch yourself in the face!!! The new knob slips right on and looks fantastic!!

Very nice shift knob. Have one on the gear shift and one on the transfer case lever and they look great.

This Knob finished of the look that I wanted. It is clean and bulky. Installation was easy. Feels comfortable and brings back the ruggedness of the vehicle. So if you are looking for a polished look I would recommend you look at this product.

I like it way better than the stocker

Looks great, easy install. Would get 5 stars if it would lock down better on the shifter shaft. Even with the set screw tightened down there's a tiny bit of wobble. I guess I'll have to shim it a bit.

            Nice Knob!!

I like my new 4WD shifter knob. It adds a little customization to the inside of my Wrangler. Nice handle. I like the rubber tire grip, it makes it easy to shift in and out of 4WD. I recommend this product.

Review from Drake Off Road 4WD Shifter Knob - Brushed (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

Eric’s take on Drake shifter knobs

Hardest thing is getting old knobs off once that’s done they slide right on, Allen wrench tighten it up feels good my hand just seems to be the right size, It shifter gears easier if that’s possible I really like them, and give the Jeep a little bit of a classy look too.

            Great mod

Really like the look and feel of these. The transfer case shift knob was more difficult to get off than I anticipated but that has nothing to do with the product.
