Very Nice light - lightweight, solid, and BRIGHT
This lightbar is very nice - too quality and very bright. Nice wide food angle but also very bright directly ahead. Substantially brighter than factory LED bright lights if you want a reference. Twice the area and twice as bright, maybe more.
Install is very easy, the switch and relays are already put together for you. Just screw to battery and place switch in cab. Switches and relays are high quality.
A few annoyances which is keeping this from a 5 star:
No mention on the item description, but this light bar will impede the windshield spray nozzles. I learned this when unboxing the package - there’s a note on the side of the box, from Delta, that says for any Jeep over 2013, you need to purchase separately a 1/2” bracket to raise the bar higher and out of the way of the spray nozzle angle.
The box did not come with the bracket - so I headed to the hardware store and picked up nylon washers to raise the bracket arms up 1/2”. Works fine, and actually looks fine as well. Just very inconvenient for the price paid. After installing the spacers, the spray nozzles still hits the bar a little, so I’ll go back and add another 1/4” to have it clear completely.
Next, the package left out all 4 body bolts to replace the hood hinge bolts - so another item to pick up at the hardware store.
You need size M8 bolts that are 1.5” long - your factory bolts are 1” but you need to add a 0.5” for the window spray nozzle spacing.
Again, no mention of this in the instructions.
For the price I feel these should have all been included, especially the metal spacer bracket.
But, other than that, this was a very easy install and the light is high quality and very bright with good flood style angles. Also looks great.
If anyone needs to see how to push wires from the hood into the cab, just YouTube search and you’ll see videos - just remove your small side panel adjacent to the doors on the front console and push through the circle with foam - then run your wires through the wall into the cab. Easier to see on YouTube than type, but the entire install minus the hardware store and figuring out the space bracket was maybe 25 minutes.
