How to Install Smittybilt Extended Top - Black Diamond on your Wrangler

Note: Read instructions entirely before installing this product. This top is designed to be a snug/tight fit to reduce flapping and noise. It is recommended to install this product when temperatures are above 75 degrees. If temperatures are below this; the material can contract over an inch. Wrinkles from packaging will go away once the material relaxes. You will need a windshield header to install this part. (Smittybilt Part# 90105) 

Step 1: Remove your hardtop or lower your soft top down (if equipped).  

Step 2: Lay your top on its top on a clean surface. Remove the knobs and latch bracket from  your header and then slide header into the front of the top.  Connect the snaps on the top to the ones on the header. (Fig A, B)  

Step 3: Lay the header on top of the windshield frame and spread top back over vehicle. (Fig C) 

Step 4: Reattach the brackets to the header using the knobs previously removed and secure the header. (Fig D) 

Lay the header on top of the windshield frame and spread top back over vehicle.      

Step 5: (Unlimited 4 Door Only) Wrap the center straps around the pillar post that's between the front and rear doors. Secure by sliding strap through buckle and pulling tight. (Fig E, F)  

Step 6: Wrap the side flaps above the front doors around the sport bar and secure by fastening the Velcro together. (Fig G) If you still have your door surrounds on the ends of the flap may need to be folded slightly. 

Step 7: Install and secure side tension straps. Slide the hook on the end of the straps into the belt rail on the vehicle. (Fig H)  

Step 8: Install and secure the rear tension straps. Slide the hook with the retainer clip into the rear slot on top of the belt rail. (Fig I)  

Step 9: Now that all straps are connected pull all straps tight while pulling back on the top. After top relaxes in sun repeat this to keep a snug fit.
