Description
Upgrade to Oversized Tires. Upgrading your tires or axle gear ratio alters the speedometer-gear-ratio calibration, making it read a higher or lower MPH. Don’t shy from giving your Wrangler YJ & TJ a tire upgrade with the newly engineered Speedometer Gear Kit. This speedometer gear is specially designed for an NP231 Transfer Case and it features a 39-tooth count, enabling you to get accurate MPH readings on the speedometer.
Enhanced Driving Safety. Apart from performance, this speedometer gear is designed to enhance road safety after raising your MPH. It provides the perfect match for your tire and gear ratio, enabling you to get the actual MPH at which you’re traveling. That drastically improves road safety.
Quality Construction. For more than 50 years, Manufacturer has manufactured quality Jeep replacement parts. To affirm this reputation, they utilize high-quality nylon for the gear and a solid steel shaft, to ensure maximum strength and stretched product life. The gear-toothed gear is coated with a red powder coat while the shaft features a polished finish – both of which offer corrosion resistance.
Straightforward Installation. Installing this speedometer into your NP231 Transfer Case is straight-forward. The package comes with installation instructions for proper mounting. Nonetheless, you’ll need a new O-ring to prove it against leaks.
Warranty. To the original product end-user, Manufacturer offers a One-Year Limited Warranty or a 12000-Mile Use for their speedometer gear, whichever comes first.
Application. This Speedometer Gear Kit fits all Wrangler YJ and TJ models built between 1993 and 2006.
