It is designed to be installed with the included electronic sensor that monitors oil temperature directly from the oil gallery, helping to prevent premature oil breakdown and protect critical engine components.

      Construction and Appearance. The gauge features a 2 1/16 inch (52mm) black face with a low profile, magnified tinted lens and a two-toned gunmetal body with a brushed aluminum trim ring. It includes a red illuminated needle with white LED backlighting, along with a dimmer wire that allows for approximately 30% illumination reduction for night driving. Stepper motor technology ensures smooth and stable needle movement, while the professional-grade finish suits any automotive environment.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with the included mounting hardware and wiring harness. The sensor installs via a 1/8-27 NPT thread, typically without the need for drilling. Depending on the vehicle, a threading adapter may be required to fit existing sensor ports.
