Merideth: Hey guys, so today we're checking out the Borla Climber Touring Cat-Back Exhaust with the turn down tip fitting all 2021 and newer 2.3-liter Broncos. Now this will be a great addition to your Bronco if you're in search of some deeper exhaust notes and added clearance for your off-roading adventures. Now, when it comes to the loudness meter, I'm giving this a two out of five with one being completely stocked, and five being wake the neighbors loud. Now, this will offer a small volume increase, but it's really gonna deepen the tone of the 2.3-liter if you wanna a tougher presence out of the truck while keeping an OE comparable comfortable cab environment with no drone. This will feature a higher top turn-down tip, keeping the exhaust system high and tight to the undercarriage to increase departure angles, while minimizing any damage to the system compared to the factory ones, which would otherwise have gotten in the way. Not to mention, this will be good if you're looking for some better performance out of your 2.3-liter with horsepower torque in efficiency gains, so not only are you getting better clearance and better sound, but also some performance gains for your Bronco. This will feature a 2 and 3/4-inch mandrel bent T304 stainless steel construction, which will offer smooth and direct airflow, while also giving the most arrest resistance that you can get out of a system. Now the touring muffler here will be one of the quietest out of Borla's Muffler Trio, delivering a smooth yet aggressive note out of the exhaust, while illuminating all that drone. And the hangers will also have a factory-like build for an OE fit, and this will include all of the clamps and hardware that you need for a straightforward install. When it comes to the price, this will be a premium choice for a turn-down style option, coming in at roughly $850. Now comparing this to other choices, this will be made of high-quality materials, and it won't be over the top when it comes to the volume. Now others like this for high clearance systems may be made of a 409 stainless or aluminized steel, which is very similar to the factory. They may have a smaller size piping or will deliver a little bit more sound compared to this more subtle choice. Now, overall, I think if you've got the extra couple of bucks to spend to get a high-quality, high clearance system, it's gonna be subtle, yet satisfying when you hit the pedal. And this is a great one to take a look at. Install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about two hours to get the job done with some basic hand tools. So, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: Tools required for this install include an airgun, an impact gun, an exhaust hangar remover, a swivel adapter, and a 10 and 15-millimeter socket. What's up, guys? Today we're installing an exhaust on our Bronco. So, let's get started. So, to remove the axle back portion of our exhaust, we have a clamp with a 15-millimeter nut on it that we'll have to loosen up, as well as a couple hangers that we'll have to remove. So, we can take a 15-millimeter socket to loosen up our nut on our clamp.Next, we can pop our hangar out of our isolator using a pair of exhaust hangar remover. And now we can do the same thing on the other side for our other isolator. So, now once we have all of our hangers removed, we can pull back on our muffler to remove it. Now once we have the axle back portion of our exhaust removed, we can come up to our flange. We have two 15-millimeter nuts that we need to remove, and then two 10-millimeter bolts that hold our hangar. So, now we can take a 15-millimeter socket to remove our two nuts.Next, we can grab a 10-millimeter socket for our two bolts holding in our hangar. Now lastly, we can remove our hangar that's right above the axle. So, get a hangar remover tool, pop that out, and now we can slide our pipe off of our flange up front and remove our exhaust pipe. So, our first step is to install our front pipe. Now we're gonna have to grab our hangar that we took off of our frame, and we'll slide that over, and then we can get that up into place, slide our flange into place, and then we can reinstall our two 10-millimeter bolts that hold our hangar to our frame. And then we can take a 10-millimeter socket to tighten those down. And then we can reinstall our two 15-millimeter nuts onto our flange. And then we can take our 15-millimeter socket to tighten these down.Next, we can install our muffler. So, we'll take one of our clamps, and slide that over our muffler inlet. Now, I've got a pole jack here just to support the weight of the muffler, so we don't put that weight onto our flex pipe. And then we can get our clamp into place, and tighten that down with a 15-millimeter socket.Next, we can add our extension pipe to our muffler outlet, and then we'll take one of our clamps, slide that over our pipe, and then we can tighten that down with our 15-millimeter socket. Next, we can take our over-axle pipe, and slide another one of our clamps over it, then put it over our axle, and into our extension pipe. And then we'll get our rod into our hangar. Now we can come back to our clamp and get it in place, and tighten that down with a 15-millimeter socket. And now lastly, we can install our turn-down. So, we'll slide that into our over-axle pipe, and then we can take our clamp, and slide that into place, and tighten it down with our same 15-millimeter socket. So, that'll wrap up this review and install of the Borla Climber Touring Cat-Back Exhaust with turndown tip for your 2021 and newer 2.3-liter EcoBoost Bronco. Thank you for watching, and for all things Bronco, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
