Merideth: If you completely want to change the sound and performance of your 2021 or newer Bronco's exhaust system, this Flowmaster Outlaw High Clearance Cat-Back Exhaust with the Polished Tip will be a great pick. Now, getting right into sound, this will be a four out of five on the loudness meter, with one being completely stock and five being wake-the-neighbors loud. Now, this is really going to wake up the exhaust and up the volume, and, of course, change the tone of the exhaust, creating a deeper and more throaty sound out of the 2.3L or 2.7L, while keeping interior noise pretty minimal, especially when it comes to drone, like when driving on the highway. This system will also bring 19 horsepower and 19 foot-pounds of torque to the table for your Bronco, with the straight pipe design, if you're looking for a bit more performance out of your truck. Now, speaking of performance, being a high-clearance exhaust, this will also stay out of the way on the trail, which is great for the Bronco owner who doesn't really care about the appearance of the exhaust, and wants all of the clearance that they can get. When it comes to the construction, this will essentially straight-pipe the exhaust from the cat back, eliminating the muffler, for that big increase in volume. Now, the piping will consist of 3-inch mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel, which is a step up from the factory size and materials, which will offer streamlined and very smooth airflow. Now, on the end, you'll see a 3-inch polished tip, for more of a custom appearance for whenever you get a peek at the exhaust system. Additionally, this is just gonna come with all of the hardware, hangers, and everything that you need in order to get this onto your Bronco, making it very straightforward when it comes to the install. When it comes to pricing, this will come in at roughly $400, making it a more affordable choice for a cat-back system. Now, in comparison to other choices on the page, this will be very straightforward and to the point, with a no-fuss design, literally being just piping and a tip on the end. Now, others on the page may include a different configuration, like a dual or single rear exit, that may offer a sporty look than this does, however, this is going to offer you the max amount of clearance. Not to mention, most other systems will include a muffler or a resonator that will take a little bit away from the volume that you're getting here. So, again, I think if you're not necessarily concerned about the look, you're just looking for an aggressive sound and tone out of your Bronco, and a lot more clearance for your exhaust, then this is it.Install will be a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you no longer than two hours to get the job done with some pretty basic hand tools. Now, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install and what that looks like step by step. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into it.Male Speaker: Tools used for this install, 3/8 electric impact gun, 10 and 15-millimeter sockets, quarter-inch drive Allen head, PB B'laster, and exhaust grommet removal tool. Hey, guys. We're gonna watch a quick uninstall video of how to remove our cat-back exhaust here on our '21 Bronco, and then we'll jump right back into the install.First thing we're gonna do, now that we have our truck up on the lift, is we're going to spray our rubber exhaust grommets here that hold our muffler up. If you do have to put your truck up, jack it up, make sure you use jack stands. In this case, with this vehicle being the height, you might even be able to lay on the ground and do it. So, I'm gonna spray some PB B'laster on our two grommets. Now, I'm going to get my 15-millimeter and loosen the axle clamp up that holds the muffler on. Now I'm gonna take my 15- millimeter on my impact gun, loosen our clamp here. Not gonna remove the nut. All you gotta do is loosen it. The clamp is welded to the pipe there. Next, we're going to start removing our rubber hangers that hold the exhaust up.Now I'm gonna use our exhaust grommet removal tool. If you don't have this, you can use a pry bar, wedge it in there. You'll be able to pop it off. I'm gonna get this behind there, pop this grommet off. Now we'll remove the other one, and then we'll start removing our muffler. Now we're gonna remove this one here. I'm gonna start removing it and hold the muffler, pull my tool out of the way. Now that we have that, we're gonna be able to give the muffler a wiggle, and pull up and down, side to side, and our exhaust is removed. Now that we got our muffler off, we're gonna remove our rubber hanger mount here, that holds our axle pipe up. I'm gonna take a pry bar. It's kind of hard to get in there with my exhaust removal tool. And slide this off, holding the pipe, so it don't hit me in the head, and we're gonna drop it down. So, now that we have our grommet removed back there, holding our exhaust up, I'm gonna remove our two 15-millimeters up here at our flange. And once I get them off, we're going to take off our two 10-millimeters here that hold our flange pipe up. We're gonna end up reusing this part of the flange mount, and the other pipe is gonna...or the other bracket's gonna slide into that. So you wanna make sure when you take them off, you hold on to it.Now that I have the two 15-millimeters loose and off, and I have the 10-millimeters and this bracket off, I'm gonna lift up and slide this pipe off. It does have a gasket on the flange. We're gonna leave that on there for now. I'm gonna pull this pipe right back out over the rear, and our old exhaust is removed. So, before we put our front pipe on here that comes off our cat, we're gonna have to use this bolt here that they give you in the kit. It's gonna go in this bracket that we removed, pretty much like that. You're just gonna slide it through, push it, and that's gonna go onto this part right here. I'm gonna screw it on, just spin it on, because once we get this pipe on, then we'll be able to re-bolt this back up. So, for now, we're just gonna put it on, get it in place. Then what I'm gonna do is take my quarter-inch drive here, Allen head, on my 3/8 ratchet. Pretty much like that. It still is able to move. Now we're ready to install our front pipe onto our cat.So, now we have our bracket on. I'm gonna stick our pipe on here. It's just gonna slide over, and we'll line this up with that. I'm gonna take my two 15-millimeters that we took off in the uninstall, and get them started, and install the other one on the backside here. Now, once we get them started, then I'm going to reinstall the two 10-millimeters that we took out to remove the bracket, and this one here. I'm gonna snug them up by hand, and that'll hold the pipe right there in place. I'm gonna take my 3/8 gun with my 10-millimeter and tighten these two up first. Then, take my 15-millimeter and get up in here, and tighten up our two 15-millimeters here, and then get behind this one. And now that we have those tight, we're gonna be able to put our axle pipe on the back. So, now we're gonna put our axle pipe on. So, I'm gonna get it up over the rear here. I'm gonna stick our clamp on this end down here. Get that started before we put the pipe on. I'm gonna get it onto our pipe off the cat, stick it up in place here, get it into our holder and hanger up top here, and slide it on, like that. Once we get that done, I'm gonna take my 15-millimeter again, tighten up our clamp. Now we're ready to install our tailpipe. So, now we have everything off. We're at the back of our truck here. You're gonna see this support bar over on the driver's side here. You have two holes right here. What we're gonna do is install our bolts through those holes. I'm going to get up in here, get this bolt pushed through. Gonna get my hand out of the way here in one sec. Like that. I'm gonna hold it with my finger back here. And they give you these clips in the kit to put on. And screw these...put these on. These will hold the bolt in place, so it doesn't come off till we get our bracket in place, like that. I'm gonna do same with this bolt. I'm gonna get this one, put it up in, like that. Again, get this clip that they give you here, just pushes over the bolt, to get it started. And now that we have those in, I'll get the bracket, we'll set it on, put our washers and nuts on, and then we'll tighten this up.So now, we're ready to stick our bracket in place. I'm just going to get this started. Same on this side here. Actually, just wanna do that right there. And I'm gonna put a flat washer on each one, a lock washer, and a nut, and put this washer and nut on this one. Snug it up. I'm gonna take my 15-millimeter on my 3/8 electric gun, tighten these up.So, now we're gonna put our tailpipe on. I'm gonna stick my clamp on first, get that in place. And then I'm gonna take and get this pipe on our axle pipe. Slide this all the way on. I'm going to dig down a little bit to get it away from the pipe here, and we'll stick it like that for now. And once we get that in place, I'm going to slide our grommet on here, and get that started on both of them, just like that. And then you can just get your tailpipe right where you want it. I'm gonna put ours, and just take a look at it, get it right about there. Slide our clamp into place. Again, I'm gonna take my 15-millimeter with my 3/8 gun and tighten up this hanger. And that'll wrap up this install. That wraps up this review and install of our Flowmaster Outlaw High Clearance Cat-Back Exhaust with Polished Tip, for '21 and up Broncos. Thanks for watching. And for all things Bronco, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
